Kawasaki Other description

1984 KAWASAKI Factory Turbo, The GPZ is rare and by far the best of the factory turbo bikes built in the 1980's, factory turbo ran a 10.6 with pewee Gleason as pilot this bike was very advanced for its time including liquid-crystal instrumentation, and Digital Fuel Injection for flawless response and incredible fuel economy (I still get 60mpg average). This GPZ has benefited from literally thousands of dollars of costly updates and restoration components which make it run, ride, and handle like a much more modern machine while retaining a stock appearance, classic sportbike looks, and the all-day comfortable riding position you get with an 80's vintage Superbike. This GPZ has been collector owned and maturely ridden. No expense was ever spared when it came to this motorcycle! The truth is, I won't even park it anywhere out of my sight I've owned it for 15 years . At the time of purchase the new motor from Mike Chestnut from Horse Power Unlimited it had just 400 miles on it and had just been rebuilt to put out 245HP at the rear wheel the motor now has 6 k on it sence then. Original totall miles on the ticker 36000, To bring the handling up to par, the assistance of several top-notch aftermarket companies was enlisted. Adjustable Works Performance rear shock with remote resovour. The wheel bearings and seals were also replaced, front forks were redone with Progressive fork springs, Bel-Ray fork oil, and a custom black powder-coated fork brace. The brakes were upgraded with EBC HHH-rated pads on the front and rear, along with fresh DOT-4 fluid throughout. The tires are top-quality Michilin Pilot 2 .Also included are spare stage 2 turbo and 2 moto gp work moto gp works brand new full stainless steel racing pipes as pictured, and  1 is new  unused in box The end result of all of these carefully matched components is a real revelation in comparison to how a stock 1985 GPZ rides and handles. The ride is perfectly damped - firm without being harsh, even with a passenger. The windscreen is a light-smoked Lockhart Philips Speedscreen . This bike was dynoed by Mike Chestnut of Horsepower Unlimited at 245HP @ the rear wheel, has $2500 Stage 5 Turbo. It has never been raced or on the track it is geared with a 530 gold plated chain new sprockets 5 teeth smaller than stock to slow the wheel from rolling up in 5th, HP mods include: Intercooler, D&D Pipe, Centrifical lock up clutch, Ported polished head, Oversized stainless steele valves/w bronze valve guides. Race cut tranns, Lightened crank, Cams, 880 top end, Race mode computer, 1100 throttle bodies, 1/4 turn throttle, Bullet cam chain tensoner, pingle high flow fuel valve,High output fuel pump/ adj fuel press reg, Digital 6 stage adj boost gauge & ramp controller, 02 Sensor, High output stator, Dayna 2000 ign system, EBC floating rotor & steel braided lines, Note- has charging problems. also included are spare stadge2 turbo and 2 moto gp work moto gp works brand new full stainless steel racing pipes

Here's what Kawasaki have to say about it:  As the premier road motorcycle based racing series, the World Superbike Championship is followed by racing enthusiasts across the globe – none more so than in Europe where the Kawasaki Racing Team, is based.
