1978 or 79 KZ1000 LTD....I think, but im not sure.
Frame # kzt00b-516766 Engine # KZT00AE 079198 I bought this bike about a year and a half ago in hopes of building something super cool. Well, I dont have the time or space, so here it is. I do not have a title for it. Bill of sale only. If this is a problem do not bid. The parts alone are worth more than the opening bid, but I dont have the heart to part it out. Some one built it and loved it. I was even told by the person I bought it from that it was in a magazine when it was first finished. He also said it easily out ran his modern FJR1300 .Although it may be best used for parts or a great donor motor. When I first bought it I put a battery and fuel to it and it fired and ran. I tried today when I pulled it out of storage and it would not start. .The list of parts is as follows to the best of my knowledge. Again, I bought it with no paperwork and it still has no paperwork. MTC 1327 Big Bore kit ( which requires case machining ) "J" Model Head ( no idea of porting) Cams ( Bike has Web Cams decals but I dont know what is in it) MRE Lock up clutch 36mm Mikuni Flatslides Dyna 2000 Ignition D&D Pipe Braced and Gusseted frame 17" Wheels from unknown Looks like a GS1150 swingarm to me Floating rotors 4 piston calipers up front Marzochi Shocks Dunstall one piece body ( inside liner has failed and will need to be re done) Tommaselli clip ons |

Kawasaki Recalls Concours 14 for Rear Brake Problem A Previous Recall Failed to Fix
Fri, 27 Jul 2012Kawasaki is issuing a recall for the Concours 14 for a rear brake pedal issue the company had previously tried to fix in 2008. According to documents released by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, road debris can get trapped between the brake pedal and a pedal guard, causing slight pressure on the rear brakes. The rear brake drag can cause the brakes to overheat, potentially leading to brake damage, a rear brake lockup or failure of the rear brakes.
Kawasaki Reports Q3 2011-2012 Results
Wed, 01 Feb 2012Kawasaki reported a net profit of 33.7 billion yen (US$441.9 million) for the nine months ended Dec. 31, 2011, but its motorcycle and engine division continues to operate at a loss. The motorcycle and engine division, which also includes ATVs, UTVs, personal watercraft and power products, operated at a loss of 4.58 billion yen (US$60.1 million) over the first three quarters of Kawasaki‘s 2011-2012 fiscal year, including a loss of 2.2 billion yen (US$28.9 million) in the third quarter alone.

The win was Webb’s second after taking the first round victory in Las Vegas and puts him and his Beta two-stroke 300 into the points lead. The race fans in attendance at the Energy Solutions Arena saw a night go almost perfectly for GEICO-supported Webb.
