Kawasaki Other description

1978 Kawasaki KZ1000B  LTD,  this is quite the Hotbike.  27K on the chassis.  I purchased the bike in order to restore it to original condition but I was fortunate to find a one owner mint 1977 KZ 1000 LTD.  The motor was built as a race motor but not really raced. Very little mileage.  It was a spare possibly.  My understanding is it has over 100 RWhp.  It has 33-36 mm flatslide Mikuni's with individual pods.  Which are worth $500 by themselves.  (about $800-900 new) The motor is exceptionally clean.  The top end is of a 1979 KZ 1000 which flows better and is lighter by 9 lbs over the KZ 1000.  The way this bike runs it feels like it has been ported but I can't be certain of that unless I disassemble the motor.   No blue or brown smoke, clean.  It has a newer Vance and Hines chrome exhaust. The paint is in what I would consider in presentable condition, a blue/purple metallic, but then again I have build pristine show bikes.  The tank itself on the inside is excellent and is rust free on the inside from what I can see. I put a new Pingel dual flow petcock to able to match the Mikuni's.  The tires are serviceable and have good amount of tread left.  The Mulholland shocks are OEM  for the LTD model.  Recovered Saddleman seat cover.  Overall this is an excellent candidate for a good clean up or restoration. Getting KZ and LTD parts new is fairly easy through all the resto companies such as Z1 enterprises, Z1 parts.net.  Zresto for gauges.  Title is clean and registered in Washington State.  Shipping is up to the purchaser.  Sorry no warrantee implied sold as is. There will be a $500 no refund deposit within 24 hours via Paypal.   Payment by cashiers, bank check. I will release the bike and title when the check clears.  Good luck bidding, get this now before the LTD's become more and rare, this was the original Hotrod cruiser before all the other ones. The original 1976 LTD was actually designed in Southern California by SoCal hotrod shops when Kawasaki researched what the public wanted in the mid 1970's.  A true Dragbike Icon of the 70's.  The GS 1000E is my latest build.

The Japanese fantasized about the new Kawasaki Ninja 250

Sun, 25 Dec 2016

The small sportbike was last updated in 2013, but the next update is just around the corner. The Japanese magazine Young Machine has published a hypothetical (or, who knows, very likely) image of the new generation Kawasaki Ninja 250, which will appear at the end of next year or in 2018. The render is intriguing: according to it, the younger “ninja” can get a “birdcage” frame and a “changeling” fork.

You want a nice little car, you do.

We ran a couple of stories last week - both, coincidentally, about new Kawasakis. One was the first peek of the new ZX10R – hot stuff you’d imagine – the other, the new W800 retro parallel twin. I suppose it shouldn’t have shocked us, which story was most popular in terms of hits but it really does mark a seismic shifts in British biking attitudes that the W800 story doubled the hits of the ZX10 piece.
