Kawasaki Other description

You are bidding on a Beautiful "Rootbeer Brown" KZ 900 Kawasaki Motorcycle!!

The mileage as of the beginning of this auction is 12,473.  This may change slightly due to me continuing to ride the motorcycle until the reserve has been reached.

The motorcycle functions perfectly.  It starts and runs great!! The brakes are really good, although they do squeak before they are completely warmed up. The paint and the seat are both original. The mufflers have been replaced at some point with a previous owner.  It is now a 4 into 2 exhaust system.

The engine number is: Z1E088188

The frame number is: Z1F087729

There are some minor surface scratches on the motorcycle.  However, it looks fantastic for its age!

This bike does not come with a warranty, however, I would not hesitate to ride this bike anywhere.  It has recently been serviced at Café Racer in Kansas City.  They went through the carburetor and replaced various parts where necessary.  They also got the air-fuel mixture straightened out on it.

I would not call this motorcycle a "Perfect 10" but I would rate it as high as 8 or 9 on a 1-10 scale.  Judging by people's reactions every time I take it out, I think they would agree!

You can call me if you have any questions.  I will also add the link to a YouTube video showing the motorcycle as soon as I get it uploaded to the site.

I will not be shipping this motorcycle! This item to be picked up in Overland Park, Kansas by the buyer within 7 days of the auction ending.

2010 Kawasaki Concours 14 Traction Control [video]

Thu, 29 Oct 2009

With the new Concours, Kawi created its first traction control system. Unlike the ABS, the rider can disable or enable KTRC, and can do so on the fly. The new TC system isn’t level selectable, like, say, Ducati’s DTC, and it isn’t intended to allow a rider to go faster on their Connie.

WSBK 2012: Assen Results

Mon, 23 Apr 2012

The Netherlands hosted a dramatic weekend of World Superbike racing that featured a red-flagged wet race, several riders crashing while leading, a first-time race winner, a photo finish between two teammates and the reigning World Champion finishing out of the points because of a poor choice of tires. The 2011 WSBK Champion Carlos Checa arrived at Assen with the lead in the championship and a three-race winning streak, but opting to run wet tires in Race Two cost him the lead and may have contributed to a crash that severely injured Liberty Racing‘s Brett McCormick. AMA Supercross: 2012 New Orleans Results

Mon, 16 Apr 2012

Ryan Villopoto has already secured the 2012 AMA Supercross Championship but that doesn’t mean he’s ready to let up and take it easy over the remainder of the season. The Monster Energy Kawasaki racer clinched his second consecutive title two weeks ago in Houston, Texas, but he continued his dominance in AMA Supercross’ return to New Orleans’ Superdome, taking the holeshot and leading all 20 laps for his ninth win of the season in 14 rounds. The New Orleans round may have lacked some big names currently nursing injuries such as Ryan Dungey, James Stewart and Chad Reed, but Villopoto provided a star effort in the first AMA Supercross race in the city since 2009.
