Kawasaki Other description

This is a two owner 1975 Kawasaki 500 H1, the previous owner was a older gentleman who polished and loved this bike but was unable to finish the restoration.  Tank, Side covers, tail section paint and decal was was completely restored by Russ Foy of Custom Classic. Russ clear coats with several coats to protect the decals from gas spills.  Russ is nationally recognized for his work and is by far the best motorcycle painter in the Northwest, he paints for The local Harley, Ducati, as well as many other motorcycle dealers.  To get a paintwork from Russ would cost you a minimum of $1500 plus.  The paint is stunning!!!!

Original mileage is 9354.1  This is such a near pristine looking bike.  It is all original including the spark plug holder and tool kit. The intake boot is a new after market one from Z1 parts com.
Gauges are in excellent condition. Everything that could be polished was and the chrome is in very good to excellent condition.  Everything was taken apart and cleaned by the previous owner. Not dirt on it. Original pipes not copies.  Tires appear to be recent as well.  The seat is original with a few tears at the seams, these are available for around $70.  The interior under the seat is very clean, this was a full restoration start that needs just a little TLC to have a a great collectable.

The owner just could not finish the restoration,  I have not run the bike but after lubricating the cylinders I kick over and found it had very good compression in all cylinders.   The owner told me it ran excellent before he started the restoration. I purchased the triple with the intent of finishing and keeping it for my own but I need to downsize my collection.  Thirty and counting. . I have not hook up the fuel lines start the engine.  Here is chance to own one of the most sought after iconic Kawasaki's.  Shipping is up to the buyer and there is a non refundable $500 deposit. It is a beautiful motorcycle with all metal tins, no plastic which is getting rare these days. Happy bidding,,,,

2010 Kawasaki Concours 14 Traction Control [video]

Thu, 29 Oct 2009

With the new Concours, Kawi created its first traction control system. Unlike the ABS, the rider can disable or enable KTRC, and can do so on the fly. The new TC system isn’t level selectable, like, say, Ducati’s DTC, and it isn’t intended to allow a rider to go faster on their Connie.

2014 Kawasaki Ninja 1000 Spied in Norway

Tue, 20 Aug 2013

Spy photographers have captured images in Norway from a video shoot for what appears to be an updated Kawasaki Ninja 1000. The images show two riders on an updated Ninja 1000 (or Z1000SX, as the bike is known in Europe). The saddlebags indicate this is the Z1000SX Touring variant offered in Europe, but the rest of the motorcycle is otherwise similar to the Ninja 1000 (which, by and by, won our 2011 Gentleman Sportbike Shootout over the Suzuki GSX1250FA and Yamaha FZ1.) The new Ninja 1000 doesn’t look much different from the 2013 model, apart from the new paint job.
