This is a 1972 Kawasaki H1 500. It is in very good condition. Some of what you read here is also found in the condition description. There is no rust. It runs well and is ready for show or the road. I customized it to follow the theme of a WWII fighter plane. The seat has been re-upholstered. I cleaned up the engine cases by doing an engine turn finish and jeweled the edges of the cylinder fins. Parts for these bikes are found mostly online and not at dealerships. I bought it in 2007 so I am not the original owner. It was well taken care of and has a clear title. The tank is in good condition and does not show signs of internal rust. I keep it topped off with fuel to prevent that from happening. I use this bike as more of a show bike than one to ride but it is rideable. These were the predecessors of the current sport bikes today. It is kept garaged and under cover. I want to sell it because I want to add space in my garage for an ATV and figure this should probably go. If you have any questions please respond to this ad and I'll get back with you. Kawasaki Recalls 20,512 Ninja ZX-10R and ZX-6R
Mon, 27 Feb 2012Kawasaki is issuing a recall on 2008-2011 Ninja ZX-10R and the 2009-2012 Ninja ZX-6R sportbikes due to a defect affecting the batteries. According to documents released by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the regulator/rectifier on affected units may not sufficiently charge the battery. As a result, the battery may unexpectedly be fully discharged, causing the engine to stall.
Kawasaki Special Edition Ninja Unveiled
Mon, 05 Jan 2009In addition to Metallic Diablo Black, Sunbeam Red and Candy Thunder Blue, the 2009 Ninja 250R will be available in a Special Edition Lime Green and Metallic Diablo Black combination. The great-looking paint scheme of the new Special Edition Ninja 250R which features Kawi green with black side panels, echoes the MotoGP ZX-RR. This is a strange time to release such a bike since the British motorsports site Autosport.com recently reported that the Japanese manufacturer will announce its withdrawal from MotoGP racing on Jan.
