2015 Ninja 1000 ABS Black with only 1290 miles + Over $4100 Spent Making the bike better!!!

I bought this bike new from dealership two months ago.  It still has over 9 months on factory 1 year warranty!  This bike was broken in according to manual and dealership instructions. The bike is Mint, not a scratch on it. It has not been driven on a track, or in the rain. It has been kept in a heated garage. Bought brand new from local dealer two months ago. The bike is now ready to be enjoyed with an amazing upgrade package!  My Ebay feedback speaks for itself, so you can be sure about what you are getting.

Here is a list of the Upgrades:

KQR Saddlebags (Hard OEM Matching Bags) $899.95 (K Dealer Installed)

KQR Color Panel Set for Bags $139.95 (K Dealer Installed)

KQR Tandem Grip Kit for Bags (Mounting Hardware) $169.95 (K Dealer Installed)

KQR Lock Cylinder Set (Keys for bags match bike key)$100 (K Dealer Installed)

(Dealer must install bag hardware and re-key to warranty bags & I bought & installed them at dealership. There are 4 different kits/parts to buy separately, shown above, just to complete saddlebags! Labor was more than $200 for installation.

Michelin Pilot 4 Tires Front & Rear to replace stock.
190/55 Rear improves turn-in handling. $400 plus $100 install

Murphs Riser Kit (raises handlebars for better ergos) $159 parts. (Kawi Dealer Installed) Labor was $60

Nells 2 Wheel dynoworks Flash done to remove limits/improve performance $400 (See pics)
He does all my bikes... amazing transformation. Located in Kirkland WA.

DMP Power End Tail Replacement (Tail light becomes blinker... best tail tidy option. My K Dealer mechanic built custom license plate holder. Bright LED. Totally gets rid of original back huge blinker set and long shelf hanging over back tire.) After reviewing all options, this was best. Kit and plate $160 Parts. Labor $100

Sintered Back Brake Pads $40 Parts. Stock brakes on back were very bad. Just changing the pads to sintered improved brake feel and effectiveness 100%. Yes 100% better. Labor $30 (Kawi Dealer Installed)

Gafer Black Steel Braided Brake Lines Front & Back Set (6 line set) $171 Parts - Labor was $120 which included install and complete brake fluid flush and bleed. These lines took out some of the sponge feel original rubber lines had.

Ram Mount in center (A 1" ball low profile ready for a Ram Cellphone mount) $51 (I Installed)

Battery tender

Oil & Filer Changed at 600 miles. Kawi Parts $60 (I Installed) Replaced with Mobil1.

HVMP Extra Heavy Black Bar-ends to lessen vibes. $84 (I Installed)

CPEGS 1" Lower Footpegs and Brake line adapter piece - Better Ergos / See Pics $89 (K Dealer Installed $60)

Shogun No-Cut Slider & Spool Kit $150 Protection if dropped / spools for easy lifting back. (Kawi Dealer Installed $50)

Stompgrip Kit 4-Piece - Tankgrip. $50 (I Installed... the right way using blow dryer, and slow thumb mash on to avoid bubbles and ensure long-term adhesion)

Spider Grips $18

Grip Covers - Also help lower vibes. $15

Puig Racing Windscreen Smoke $89 (Best actual winflow protection out of options reviewed... still have stock clear too) (I Installed)

Proper Break-In of Bike: $Free!

Total Parts Costs: $3245.85(Not including Tax or shipping)

Total Labor Costs: $720 (Very low b/c I get better deals on labor)

What a deal on this bike.

Thanks for looking!

45,367 Motorcycle Thefts Reported in US in 2013

Tue, 10 Jun 2014

Americans reported 45,367 stolen motorcycles in 2013, down 1.5% from 2012, reports the National Insurance Crime Bureau‘s latest Motorcycle Theft and Recovery Report. According to the NICB motorcycle thefts have been on the decline every year since 2007 when 65,678 motorcycles were reported stolen, though the overall trend appears to be leveling off. Japanese motorcycles continue to be the most popular target for thieves.

Kawasaki Z1R.

Thu, 09 Dec 2010

These two beautiful Z1R Kawasakis appeared at the annual Mooneyes Yokohama Custom show last weekend. With one sporting a street/strip look (spot the belly-scraping ride height and rigid rear struts) and the other undergoing a sort of modernisation, they both reminded me just how handsome and unique the original slab-sided Z1R was.  Judging by some of the other wild and weird exhibits I made a mental note to myself: must make sure I'm in Japan this time next year.

Kawasaki Z1000 ABS Back For 2015

Wed, 10 Sep 2014

The Kawasaki Z1000 is nothing if not attention-grabbing, and for 2015 it will be back in Kawasaki’s lineup of motorcycles. Team Green calls it “Sugomi” styling, which combines its sculpted shape – invoking a crouching predator – with painstaking details like its special “Z” ignition key, machined aluminum steering stem bolt and the intricate “Z” motif seat cover. This is wrapped in a new color scheme for 2015 that combines Golden Blazed Green with Metallic Spark Black to create a dramatic motorcycle.
