I have a 08 Kawasaki zx10r with 17k miles. The bike has a Power Commander & the quick shift, Vance & Hines Exhaust,Integrated rear signals, Geared,Ohllins steering damper . The bike was put down at low speed by the previous owner, it rides and everything works as it should. It was green he painted it black. It has Michelin tires on it with plenty of life left. 2004 and 2005 kawi's sell for 5000 so you are getting one two models newer for the same money.It is a very nice fast bike and I wouldnt be selling it if I didnt need to fix my plow truck. The slip-on silencer requires no additional modifications: bolt on and go.Consistent power improvements throughout the rev range have been seen, with no adjustments to the fuelling, say Scorpion, with an average increase 3bhp.The new silencer has been acoustically developed to provide a greatly enhanced engine note. This means the bike will be as loud as the original in terms of a dB reading, but the exhaust note offers a deeper growl. However, removable baffles allow the rider to dramatically alter the tone of the exhaust by simply removing one bolt per silencer.
2012 Kawasaki Ninja 250R, Ninja 650 and Versys Pegged for Recall
Wed, 07 Mar 2012Kawasaki is issuing a recall for certain 2012 Ninja 250R and Ninja 650 sportbikes as well as the Versys 650 due to a risk of the passenger footpegs falling off. According to documents released by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the circlips on the footpegs’ mounting pins may break under engine vibrations, potentially leading the footpegs to detach. This poses a potential danger to the passenger.
Isle of Man TT 2012: Lightweight TT Results
Mon, 11 Jun 2012Ryan Farquhar earned his third ever Isle of Man TT win in the return of the Lightweight TT class. Absent since the 2009 Isle of Man TT with 250cc machines, the 2012 iteration of the Lightweight class features 650cc twins such as the Kawasaki Ninja 650 (or ER-6F, as it’s known on that side of the Pond) which most competitors rode. The race was moved back to Saturday, June 9, after rain forced organizers to cancel the initially-scheduled Friday race.
