The Ninja 650 is a middleweight, parallel-twin engined motorcycle. It's designed for normal use on paved roads. The modern styling and features, with low-seating ergonomics, a low center of gravity, and respectable, manageable power output make this a very attractive, yet affordable motorcycle. The Ninja 650 appeals to a wide-ranging audience from newcomers to seasoned riders. The engine is relatively unusual in employing a 180 degree crankshaft. This results in an uneven firing interval (180 degrees, 540 degrees) which gives the engine note a distinctive throbbing quality. You need only look at the Ninja ZX-6R which shook off the shackles of the 600cc supersport segment with a 636cc displacement, then came the Ninja 300 replacing the 250. New spy photos from Indonesia, however suggest there’s still room for smaller engines from Team Green.

Thu, 16 Dec 2010I've been playing around with video cameras in the office here for a good year with varying degress of success. The GoPro we use is great - when it's behaving. But I've had too many sessions where it doesn't like the SD card I fed it, the batteries die as you're leaving pit lane or you record a perfect lap, but with the camera pointing at the sky, or the tank.
