*May take a second to load
if you are on mobile!*____________________________________________________________This Z1-R has been Owned, and
stored Professionally for the last 12 years, by the worlds largest
private collector and afficianado of Superbikes Mr. Peter Boccarossa, the world
renowned owner of SuperBike Universe, This bike was drained of fuel and the
cylinders, carbs, and tank all fogged with preservation oil before it was
perfectly stored in the SuperBike Universe Museum until 8/12/2016 when it was
donated to the New England Motorcycle Museum by Mr. Boccarossa then carefully and
painstakingly awoken from its decade of sleep, she roared to life easily with
the capable hands of the AMA Concourse #1 Championship winning restoration
experts at THE NEW ENGLAND MOTORCYCLE MUSEUM where she is on display and for
sale today! Our licensed mechanics here at Kaplan
Cycles completely evaluated this motorcycle and performed the following mechanical and detail services which took 28 hours (including detailing services) x $80 an hour = $2,240.00 in labor and $250 in parts= $2,500.00 Just invested in preservation and tuning services on this Z1-R:·

Test rideWe did not
remove the carbs and clean them as we wanted the bike left unmolested original
and they were fogged when parked by Mr. Boccarossa so the bike runs and starts
as-is after waking from over a decade of professional museum storage, we
suggest removing all four carbs and professionally cleaning them to get the
bike running 100% perfect. also the rear brakes need servicing, and there is a
1" scratch in the Mint original paint job, we have procured from the
U.K. the proper matching touch up paint and clear coat which will be supplied
to the new owner to repair themselves, or we will do the paint repair "FOR
FREE" before shipping to its new owner, we do not want to alter the
EXTREMELY rare pristine originality of this classic cafe special Z1-R and are
showing it As-Is 100% original paint and the new owner can decide as he or she
wishes to proceed with the care of the paint!____________________________________________________________ |

Isle of Man TT 2013: PokerStars Senior TT Race Results
Fri, 07 Jun 2013For a while there, it looked as if John McGuinness would be held off the top podium position through the entire 2013 Isle of Man TT. McGuinness had recorded third-place finishes at the Superbike, Superstock and the second Supersport TT races earlier in the week, but the active leader in Isle of Man TT wins was stuck at 19 wins all week. That finally changed and the Honda TT Legends racer finally earned win #20 in the final race of this year’s event, the Senior TT.
Kawasaki Issues Recall on Unauthorized Concours 14 Police Models
Wed, 28 Aug 2013Kawasaki announced a recall on 44 2012-2013 Concours 14 potentially faulty motorcycles allegedly converted for police use without the manufacturer’s consent. Back in early 2012, Kawasaki announced a recall on 278 2009-2012 Concours 14 police motorcycles because the add-on equipment installed by Idaho-based Beaudry Motors suffered electrical problems. According to the recall documents, the electrical system installed by Beaudry could overload the charging circuit between the regulator and the two batteries and eventually blow the main fuse.
