This bike has been outfitted with an aftermarket Renthal brand Front and rear sprocket combo for added torque on take off without sacrificing top end, and paired with an RK chain that has been called "bulletproof" by dirtrider magazine this past spring. This bike also has 85% left on the stock Pirelli Scorpion tires, letting you know just how little this bike has been rode. Bike also comes with the brand new Progrip brand grips, which have an additional layer of rubber to replace the common "grip cushion" which usualy slides around and gets in the way. The win strengthens Villopoto’s hold on the points lead as the Kawasaki rider seeks his fourth-consecutive championship. Villopoto took the holeshot in the Houston main event and never looked back, leading all 20 laps for the win.
Isle of Man TT 2012: Lightweight TT Results
Mon, 11 Jun 2012Ryan Farquhar earned his third ever Isle of Man TT win in the return of the Lightweight TT class. Absent since the 2009 Isle of Man TT with 250cc machines, the 2012 iteration of the Lightweight class features 650cc twins such as the Kawasaki Ninja 650 (or ER-6F, as it’s known on that side of the Pond) which most competitors rode. The race was moved back to Saturday, June 9, after rain forced organizers to cancel the initially-scheduled Friday race.
