Kawasaki KX description
For sale a 2001 KX 65 dirt bike. Just had the engine fixed after I burned the piston rod. (Didn't use synthetic oil) Replaced the internals of the engine and cleaned the carbeurator. I have ridden the bike for about two hours since the replacements and it runs like new. It starts easily for a two stroke. Since the new engine it has started 1st or 2nd kick everytime. I have run Dominator synthetic two stroke oil through it as of late. It has a two little indentions in the seat from an angry mom's fingernails. This bike is quite fast for its size. I am the 2nd owner after buying it in 2004. The previous owner had a son who started riding 4 wheelers instead. It comes with all the paperwork including the manual and a helmet. I will also throw in a grey and black fly handlebar foam cover thing. It's a great 1st bike for someone to grow into. This was my 1st one and I learned to ride it at eight years old. I dont have a trailer but it might fit into the back of our volvo sedan. Id rather not drive it somewhere but I will if I have too. Im buying a bigger bike with the money from this one. Sadly it has gotten a little too small. You are welcome to drive it around my backyard and my neighbor has a small track that would be fine too. Not only does he have more than 5,000 posts on our forum, he’s also written dirt bike tests for us, including the 2010 and 2011 Kawasaki KX450F reviews. Making this accomplishment more noteworthy is the fact that Matt is a paraplegic – he was hit by a car several years ago while riding his motorcycle.
Nissin ABS Modulator Recall Explained in NHTSA Documents
Wed, 24 Jul 2013Earlier this month, we published news about an issue with certain Nissin anti-lock brake system modulators that have been connected to recalls in Canada and Japan from Honda, Suzuki and Kawasaki, with the possibility of it expanding to further models and manufacturers using the same component. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has now released documents from American Honda’s recall of ABS-equipped CTX700 and CTX700N that shed some more light into the issue. According to the documentation, a manufacturing error may have resulted in Nissin ABS modulators being contaminated with aluminum chips.
Corbin Bleu Rides to Promote Free Style
Mon, 14 Sep 2009If you’ve got a tween girl in your life you’re probably aware that High School Musical star Corbin Bleu has a new motocross-inspired movie “Free Style” coming out on October 9. Bleu and some of his co-stars were on hand at a Kawasaki event at Piru Motocross Park in Piru, California to promote the film and the actor/singer took to the track. Bleu got geared up and took a KLX110 and a KLX140 around the track to have a little fun.
