Kawasaki KLR description

Good day! I am offering up for auction a 2011 Kawasaki KLR 650 that starts, runs and rides well. I am the second owner and this bike has been a pleasure for me to own and ride. All mechanical and electrical components are operating as they should. There are however, a few cosmetic issues. I have done my best to capture the strengths and weaknesses of this example with my photography. The bike was in a minor collision last July and went down on it's left side. Several body parts were replaced, by me, with the authentic Kawasaki parts. The only broken part that was not replaced at that time, is the left front turn signal housing, which was repaired to a functioning and well attached state. It has a used odometer that came with a reading of about 1800 miles, at the time of replacement the broken odometer read about 4500. I have ridden this bike just shy of 7000 miles, since making those repairs and the odometer now reads 8613. I believe the actual mileage to be, within a reasonable degree of certainty, under 12000 miles. This spring the bike blew over in a storm, causing some damage to the right side cowling and slightly bending the foot brake lever and hand brake lever. No repairs have been made on this damage, but it is, I hope, accurately portrayed in the photos. Front tire, estimated at 80% tread and rear at 30%. Neither tire is original to the bike. The bike will come with the tall Cee Bailey's windshield portrayed in the photographs.  Please, feel free to contact me with any questions you may have about the bike and I will make an attempt to honestly and accurately field them in a prompt manner. Thank you very much for checking out the listing.

Colin Edwards Joins Forward Racing CRT Squad for 2012

Fri, 02 Sep 2011

Colin Edwards will join the Forward Racing team to compete in the 2012 MotoGP season as a Claiming Rule Team entry. Edwards, known as a good development rider and an even better quote machine, is the first rider to officially sign on with a CRT. Forward Racing may be more familiar to some race fans by its former name, Hayate Racing, the outfit that ran the Kawasaki ZX-RR with Marco Melandri in 2009 after Kawasaki pulled out of MotoGP racing.

2012 Kawasaki Versys 1000 Makes North American Debut in Canada

Wed, 11 Jan 2012

As we’ve previously reported, the new Kawasaki Versys 1000 will not be imported to the U.S, but it will be available in North America in Canada as a 2012 model. Kawasaki Canada presented the Versys 1000 at its display at this past weekend’s North American International Motorcycle Supershow in Toronto, for the new “adventure sport” model’s debut on this side of the Atlantic. While he can’t speak for Kawasaki USA’s decision making, Bob Calwell, district manager for Kawasaki Canada, he does note that the Canadian company does have a history of making different product selections.

We all like to save a shilling if we can, especially these days, but sometimes, doing a job yourself, cutting corners and generally grubbing round being tight fisted actually ends up costing you more money than biting the bullet and putting your hand a bit deeper into your pocket to get a proper job done. The problem is, I come from a long line of, erm, frugal Yorkshire b####rds going back generations, and I seem to be hardwired as a bit of a skinflint. My dad, although never actually short of money, that I could remember, didn’t like spending it.
