Up for auction is a very clean KLR 650 adult owned, garage kept and well maintained. It has a Supertrapp IDS2 pipe, Dyno-Jet jet kit and K+N air filter which improves the performance of this bike greatly over the stock set-up. It has the stock DOT knobbies the front is fine the back will need replacing soon. It has 5,610 miles and counting 99% on road 1% off road where the plastics received a few scratches nothing major. This bike is very clean no disappointments just get on and ride everything works and it runs very good. While the company’s name might not be commonplace among performance oriented riders – yet – some pretty big names are using MWR filters even though the company doesn’t pay sponsorship dollars. According to MWR’s press release, “the reigning WSBK champion, Tom Sykes uses MWR Air Filters in his Kawasaki ZX10R.” Also, 17 riders at the Isle of Man TT were running with MWR filters.
Tricked Out ZX-14 to Debut at IMS New York
Fri, 09 Jan 2009Among the many bikes set to be unveiled at the New York Cycle World International Motorcycle Show next Friday, is a Kawasaki Ninja ZX-14 tricked out by Steve Kehler at Tricked Out Custom Cycles (TOCC). This ZX-14 sportbike was created as a rolling testament to the success Rickey Gadson earned during his 25 years of motorcycle drag racing. Gadson, an eight-time world champion, will join Kehler for the official unveiling of the bike during the New York IMS show.
Report: Dorna to Replace Superstock Classes with More Stock-Inspired WSBK and New 250cc Class
Mon, 07 Jan 2013The coming World Superbike racing season may be the last to feature Superstock classes as series promoter Dorna tries to differentiate its WSBK and MotoGP properties. According to Italian outlet Motosprint, Dorna plans to rewrite the World Superbike and Supersport class rulebooks for the 2014 season to make the race bikes closer to their respective production models. This would create further separation between WSBK and MotoGP, with Superbike racing moving closer to its production-based roots while prototypes racing in the GP series.
