1977 Kawasaki on 2040-motos
Kawasaki All tech info
Kawasaki All description
Up for auction is a nicely restored 1977 KZ 200. This machine is in beautiful condition with less than 9500 original miles on the clock. I am the 3rd owner of this classic "single", which was recently freshened up (6 weeks ago) by an
expert Kawasaki mechanic. This process included a
complete carburetor cleaning/rebuild using genuine Kawasaki parts, points adjustment, an oil/filter change, and a new battery.
The bike starts, idles, runs, shifts and operates as it should, and all of the brakes, lights, turn signals, and horn function
properly. The original exhaust system is in pristine condition, as are the chrome fenders and rims. There is some minor corrosion on a few of the spokes however, but that hardly detracts from the bike's overall beauty. The gas tank and side covers were repainted 3 years ago, and the metallic blue paint w/pinstripe looks awesome. The motor is super clean and looks like new. The original Kawasaki seat has no rips or tears and also looks like new. Also included is an original
owners manual and Kawasaki shop manual, and an NOS Kawasaki key. This bike is turn-key and needs nothing - drive it to your local cruise-in where it will surely draw a crowd! I have the clear title in my name. As usual,
the bike is being sold as-is, where is, with no warranty included or
implied. With that being said, the bike is even nicer than the pictures
show, so check my feedback and bid with confidence. Prospective buyers
are welcome to view the bike in person before the end of the auction,
and I will be happy to answer any questions. A $200 deposit is due via
paypal within 24 hrs of the end of the auction, and full payment via
certified funds must be received within 7 days of auction end. Winning
bidder may pay entire purchase price via paypal, but the 2.9% paypal fee
must be added. The bike is located in zip code 22520; shipping and/or
timely pick-up is the sole responsibility of the winning bidder, and I
will assist your shipper with loading the bike. I can safely store the
bike for a reasonable amount of time provided the arrangements are made
ahead of time. Depending on the location of the winning bidder, I may
be able to deliver the bike for an additional fee that will be far less than
hiring a bike shipping company. This is a no-reserve auction, so don't miss
out on a great opportunity to own this classic KZ!

Fri, 10 Aug 2012Kawasaki is issuing a recall on its 2011 and 2012 Ninja ZX-10R due to a potential oil leak in the crankcase. According to documents released by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, engine oil may leak from the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R‘s crankcase from a machined area where the starter is mounted. Leaked oil may pool on top of the crank case and, under continued use, spill onto the rear tire, reducing traction and increasing the risk of a crash.

WSBK 2013: Jerez Race Report
Mon, 21 Oct 2013Eugene Laverty did everything he could, scoring a pair of race wins but it was not enough as Tom Sykes rode smartly and conservatively at the season finale in Spain, securing his first ever World Superbike Championship. Sykes landed in Jerez with a 37-point lead over Laverty and a 38-point lead over Sylvain Guintoli. While Laverty battled Marco Melandri to win Race One, Sykes coasted comfortably in third for most of the race to score 16 points, enough to clinch the title.
