KTM Other description

Up for auction is a basically brand new KTM 300 XC-W. Bike was previously purchased about 2 months ago by a customer who elected not to test ride it before purchasing and taking it home... He rides it for the weekend and puts about 90 miles on before deciding it has too much horsepower for him so he brings it back the following week and trades it for a WR250. So technically, according to paperwork, the machine is used. 3.5 Hours on the meter. Not even a full tank of fuel has gone through it.

His loss is your gain however.. We're taking nearly $2000 off original retail (which was $8400) just to move it off our cluttered showroom floor. thanks for looking.

KTM Unveils E3W Concept, an Electric Plastic City Car

Fri, 12 Aug 2011

KTM has revealed a radical new concept vehicle, a three-wheeled electric city car with a body made of plastic. Designed as a compact, efficient urban transportation vehicle, the KTM E3W was created by KTM, the Austrian Institute of Technology design studio Kisha (as in Gerald Kisha, the KTM designer behind such models as the 1190 RC8R and 125 Duke.) The E3W has two wheels at the front with a single drive wheel at the rear. The E3W seats two people, entering the car through Lamborghini-esque scissor doors for easy access in tight parking spaces.

Splashing through the summer on my RC8R

Wed, 18 Jul 2012

For sure the wet summer has curtailed my intentions of using my RC8R at every opportunity. That said I've had a fair amount mixed weather track time around the UK which has helped me bond with the big KTM. I've found riding at tighter twistier tracks like Oulton and Knockhill are more satisfying as the low down grunt and quick handling means you can stay with pretty much anything.

KTM 200 Duke, 350 Duke Announced … But Only for Emerging Markets

Wed, 13 Jul 2011

According to reports out of India, KTM Chief Executive Officer Stefan Pierer has announced the Austrian manufacturer will produce 200cc and 350cc versions of its youth-oriented 125 Duke. Unfortunately for us in North America, the two new Dukes will appear destined for emerging markets such as India, Brazil, Thailand and Malaysia. Speaking with the Indian press, Pierer says KTM is partnering with Bajaj Auto to develop the 200 Duke in 2012 with the 350 version to follow in 2013.
