KTM North America Plans for 2012-2014 Leaked from Dealer Meeting

The future is orange, and it’s also been leaked to the public. This image was leaked from KTM’s dealer meeting, revealing the Austrian company’s plans for new models for the North American market for the next three years. Notable models listed from KTM‘s outline include the previously confirmed for India Duke 350, three Freeride models (including two electric ones) 1290cc versions of the Super Duke R and Adventure, as well as an expanded use of 350cc engines.

KTM Ready to Race Again, Entering Moto3 Class in 2012

KTM announced it will return to Grand Prix road racing in 2012 with a new racebike for the new 250cc four-stroke Moto3 class. The Austrian manufacturer discontinued its Grand Prix road racing program in 2009, withdrawing from the 125cc class (pictured above is current Moto2 racer Marc Marquez racing for the KTM factory team in the 2009 125cc class). With the Moto3 class set to replace the 125cc class in 2012, KTM will return with a new racebike.

The Red Bull Romaniacs enduro rallye in Sibiu, Romania is one of the most challenging events on the calendar. It must be, if this Enduro-Cross-style prologue to the four-day race is any indication. Here, we ride along with KTM Factory rider Johnny Walker (definitely one of the coolest names in motorsports) as he makes riding through balance beams, wall rides and a brutal tree stump pit look like child’s play, while the rest of the field wonders why they even bothered getting out of bed that morning.
