KTM Fines MX2 Factory Racer Jeffrey Herlings for Bad Behavior – Video

KTM has issued a fine and a warning to its own factory motocross racer Jeffrey Herlings for “certain behavioral issues” from the past two MX2 World Championship rounds. Herlings currently leads the MX2 World Championship standings, winning five of seven rounds including eight of 14 motos. KTM did not specify exactly what Herlings did, but the tipping point was dropping the F-bomb on live television in a post-race interview.

Ohlins Chooses KTM 250 SX-F for 2012 AMA Supercross and Motocross Championships

Öhlins USA announced its AMA Supercross and Motocross team will use the KTM 250 SX-F for the 2012 season. Team Öhlins will enter three riders in the 250 class for both the indoor Supercross and outdoor Motocross championships. KTM Ready to Race Again, Entering Moto3 Class in 2012

KTM announced it will return to Grand Prix road racing in 2012 with a new racebike for the new 250cc four-stroke Moto3 class. The Austrian manufacturer discontinued its Grand Prix road racing program in 2009, withdrawing from the 125cc class (pictured above is current Moto2 racer Marc Marquez racing for the KTM factory team in the 2009 125cc class). With the Moto3 class set to replace the 125cc class in 2012, KTM will return with a new racebike.
