Carbon Fiber (CF) headlight mask CF side shrouds CF lower fork guards and front fender CF chain guard CF front sprocket cover CF ignition case cover Orange anodized (OA) rear sprocket OA clutch cover OA master cylinder covers OA brake fluid reservoir cover OA swingarm bolt cover. KTM Hard Parts center stand, black hand guards, axle sliders, orange rim tape. Also includes rear fender-mounted KTM soft storage case, and KTM (Givi) hard storage case. (large enough for one helmet.) All OEM parts that were removed are also included. Also included: full set of replacement Brembo brake pads, plus 2 new spark plugs, plus 7 new KTM oil filters. KTM full service manual also available in pdf format. This bike is unique. It stands out in the crowd. With the dB reducers removed from the Akrapovic pipes it sounds loud and mean like two cylinders were sliced off the end of a nascar engine. It makes inline-4 riders wish that their engine note had more soul, and it makes H-D riders turn their fat heads and say WTF?! Fast and torquey and light enough to get you into plenty of trouble. Enough speed to hang with your crotchrocket friends in all but the highest rpm's. Enough suspension travel to take to the sidewalks in anger if you're stuck in city traffic. 2015 KTM 1290 Super Adventure Confirmed
Wed, 20 Aug 2014KTM has officially confirmed it will launch the new 1290 Super Adventure on Sept. 30 at the Intermot show in Cologne. To tide us over until then, KTM released this official image of the adventure-tourer and provided a few details, describing it as the “absolute pinnacle of luxury sport-touring riding.” Based on its name, we assume the Super Adventure will use the same engine as the 1290 Super Duke R.
Day 7 Dakar 2014: Barreda Wins Another
Mon, 13 Jan 2014After a day of rest, Sunday’s stage seven was characterized by rain during the night and a new Dakar country – Bolivia. After an early start at 4:30 in the morning, the first 62 miles of the special stage into Bolivia had to be shortened due to rain and poor visibility, low-hanging clouds that prevented the helicopters from taking off creating security issues. The route led across the Andes and towards the Bolivian border.
