KTM Other description

This listing is for a 1974 KTM 420 barn find. For the most part the bike is all there. This bike has excellent compression. The story behind the bike was that it was running when put away 4 years ago. It was kept in someone's basement for the time. It is missing a shifter and one of the rear shocks. The forks or triples are not cracked which KTM is known for. The frame isn't bent, cracked, or repaired. Both tires hold air and have decent thread. Looks like it needs a new kill switch. Will include a bill of sale. Shipping will be paid for and arranged by the buyer if desired. Please call me at 8609182629 with any questions.

2013 KTM 1190 Adventure Revealed in Leaked Brochure

Tue, 18 Sep 2012

Pictures and details of an all-new 2013 KTM 1190 Adventure have emerged from a brochure that briefly appeared on KTM‘s official website. The document has since been removed but not before we got our hands on them. Expected to be unveiled at the 2012 Intermot show in Cologne, Germany, in just a few weeks, the latest adventure touring bike from KTM will be powered by a 1190cc V-Twin engine, not a 1290cc powerplant as initially expected.

Carbon Fibre race bikes, and a KTM makes it debut on the BSB Motostar rostrum

Tue, 26 Jun 2012

Many think Carbon Fibre chassis are relatively new to motorcycle racing but I can lay claim to having been there and done that almost thirty years ago. I first rode a Carbon/Kevlar 250cc Armstrong in 1983 before going on to grab four British titles and pretty much every national lap record over the next three years. I also had some top ten 250cc Grand Prix finishes although I was totally gutted when my team mate Donnie McLeod topped me by finishing 2nd in the Belgian GP at Spa.

KTM 200 Duke, 350 Duke Announced … But Only for Emerging Markets

Wed, 13 Jul 2011

According to reports out of India, KTM Chief Executive Officer Stefan Pierer has announced the Austrian manufacturer will produce 200cc and 350cc versions of its youth-oriented 125 Duke. Unfortunately for us in North America, the two new Dukes will appear destined for emerging markets such as India, Brazil, Thailand and Malaysia. Speaking with the Indian press, Pierer says KTM is partnering with Bajaj Auto to develop the 200 Duke in 2012 with the 350 version to follow in 2013.
