KTM Adventure description

Used 2010 KTM 990 Adventure R, 27,800 miles, with Hepko Becker panniers and top case; and tank bag.
This is an awesome motorcycle and has been very well maintained and always garage kept, except when out touring.   All of the miles are long distance traveling miles and not commuting/around-town mileage.

Please note:  this bike is in excellent condition but has been used for adventure touring.  So, it has some nicks and scratches.  It has never been down on the highway, but has fallen over a couple of times in parking lots and has been down a couple of times in the sand.  The left blinker casing is cracked from a fall in a gravel parking lot the first week I owned it.  It has survived with duct tape and a rubber band since then.   The crash bars have some scuffs and scratches on them.   tank bag has a broken zipper pull.... now it's a zip tie.

The tires have about 20% wear left before they need replacing, although the front tire has a slight tear in the sidewall.  You might want to replace it immediately.  I have been riding it for several thousand miles with no issues.
This bike has been maintained according to manuf. guidelines.   The valves were last checked about 5k miles ago and have never needed adjusting.   Sprocket and chain have about 10-12k miles on them.

NO RETURNS.   If you have any questions or would like additional pictures or any other information, email me and I will be happy to provide whatever I can.  Once the bike is delivered, there are NO RETURNS.

Payment by Cash or bank wire...  NO PayPal.

$250 non-refundable deposit due within 48 hours of end of auction.

More than 2,000 attendees visited America’s Car Museum for its 3rd annual Vintage Motorcycle Festival ‘The MEET’ last weekend in Tacoma, Washington, where over 300 motorcycles and scooters were showcased on the Haub Family Field at LeMay. The event drew pre-1981 motorcycles and scooters from the U.S. and Canada, including an antique motorcycle display, swap meet, cruise-in and a 78-mile roundtrip tour from ACM’s Anderson Plaza to Mt. WSB, Nobby Ueda and my KTM RC8R

Tue, 15 May 2012

WSB last weekend at Donington Park, once again delivered some amazing racing but I'm not sure what Leon Haslam has to do to get that first victory on the BMW. He looked the strongest prospect for the win in race one until Marco Melandri appeared to brake a tad early at the Esses sending the Pocket Rocket across the gravel. I really believe it was a case of innocent victims though at the last corner on the last lap in race two.
