KTM Adventure tech info
KTM Adventure description
This is my 2006 KTM 640 Adventure. I'm the original owner. It has taken me across the country on the Trans-Am Trail, and on trips to Mexico. It runs great, and is ready for its next adventure. I just bought a new bike and need to sell this one to make room. It comes with:
The bike has less than 33k miles, about 50/50 street dirt. Currently has Mefo Explorer tires that have about 1/3 of their life left. After getting stuck in the mud on a trip I replaced the original low front fender with a high fender. To do this, I removed one of the front disc rotors/calipers, and replaced the double banjo bolt on the first caliper. I also replaced the front brake lever/master cylinder assembly with the one from the earlier year model. This is the setup that was standard on this model prior to 2004 and is much more appropriate to offroad use. I still have all the parts I removed to do this (NOT INCLUDING THE LOW FENDER) and will include them with the bike. Imperfections:

KTM 390 Adventure: the updates for the 2022 season
Fri, 24 Dec 2021The Austrians have slightly refreshed their small-capacity tourenduro for the next model year. No real changes have occurred, the "orange" only brought the design to the ideal. It is clear that the main change was bringing the engine to comply with Euro-5 environmental standards.
KTM 'RC640' Supermono
Mon, 28 Oct 2013I don't know much about this bike but I think it's based around a KTM LC4 640 engine. I stumbled across it while searching Google and thought it was worth sharing. It's a work of art and possibly an RC640, long before KTM had even thought of putting their engines into a sportsbike.
2013 KTM 1190 Adventure R Revealed
Wed, 19 Sep 2012When news broke yesterday of leaked details of the new 2013 KTM 1190 Adventure, the first question that crossed our minds was “when do we find out about the R version?” The answer, it turns out, is today, with a new photograph of the 1190 Adventure R now surfacing. Members of ADVForum, where we found the original leaked KTM brochure, have uncovered new a studio photo of the R model as well as the non-R version. The 2013 KTM 1190 Adventure R is equipped with larger wheels than the base model, likely a 21-inch wheel up front and an 18-inch wheel at the rear (the non-R 1190 Adventure appears to sport a 19-inch front and 17-inch rear wheel.) We are surprised the tires appear to be street tires and not knobby off-road rubbers.
