Indian Announces Two-Tone Paint Schemes For 2015 Lineup
Mon, 14 Jul 2014Indian Motorcycle, America’s first motorcycle company, announced today in a sneak preview of its model year 2015 lineup that the new model year would also bring a return of the classic two-tone paint scheme the early Indians were known for. The much anticipated vintage paint palettes were on-display over the weekend for fans of classic motorcycles at Vintage Motorcycle Days 2014 in Lexington, Ohio. The iconic two-tone schemes will build on the overwhelmingly positive response to the current 2014 Chief range, known for its hi-torque Thunder Stroke 111 motor and precise handling, thanks to Indian Motorcycle’s sand-cast aluminum frame technology.

Yes, that’s the actual name of a production motorcycle designed by Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India, a Honda subsidiary. In his review of the 150cc motorcycle, Rajeev Gaikwad said the Honda Unicorn Dazzler was “a handsome commuter with an enthusiastic and proven engine” though it was underwhelming in terms of performance and handling as the higher-priced successor to the regular Honda Unicorn also sold in India.
Polaris Reports Q4 2011 Results
Wed, 25 Jan 2012Polaris Industries reported a record net profit of $227.6 million for 2011. Polaris’ on-road arm, which consists primarily of Victory Motorcycles saw a 79% year-on-year increase in sales. Sales from on-road vehicles, including Victory and Indian motorcycles as well as small electric vehicles from the newly-acquired GEM and Goupil brands, totaled $146.3 million in 2011, compared to just $81.6 million in 2010.
