Head work/flowed. High compression Pistons. Crane HI-4 ignition. Pingel high flow petcock. Primo Rivera clutch. Recent new lifters, pushrods Indian branded rocker arms replaced with S&S. Single down tube softail style frame. Stretched tank. Paint: House of Kolors Tangelo Pearl with flat clear by Jimmy Reed. Progressive brand shocks. Performance Machine brake calipers. Drag bars and pullback risers. Headwinds headlight. Custom turn signals. Custom mirrors. New battery this season. New Carriage Works Typhoon wheels and Metzler tires, with less than 700 miles on them.16”r, 21”f. 5 speed transmission Belt drive primary and secondary. Extras included: Softtail seat. (larger passenger pad than stock cushioned my passenger’s butt better!) Taller sissy bar w/ pad. Complete Indian exhaust system including mounting bracket – like new! (Exhausts on the Gilroy Indians were made by Super Trapp). See photos. New fork oil seals. New speedo cable. Passenger floorboards. Parts and service manuals on CD. Sorry to say it is time to let ?er go! Note mileage is approximate. Speedo and drive cable were replaced along the way at separate times. Ridden while waiting for parts though probably less than 1,000 miles.

Allstate Offering $5,000 Grants for Best New Motorcycle Safety Ideas

We’ve previously written about Allstate‘s efforts at advancing motorcycle safety and awareness, from its “Watch for Motorcycles” sign campaign to its Rider Risk Map app on Facebook. Today, the insurance provider announced another new initiative in its Good Rides Grant program, offering $25,000 in grants for new ideas to advance motorcycle safety. Allstate is asking people to send their ideas on how to improve safety to the company’s Facebook page.

1 of 6Next Last A little while ago, we published a review of a motorcycle Honda produces for the Indian market called the Unicorn Dazzler. Yes, that’s the actual name of a production motorcycle designed by Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India, a Honda subsidiary. In his review of the 150cc motorcycle, Rajeev Gaikwad said the Honda Unicorn Dazzler was “a handsome commuter with an enthusiastic and proven engine” though it was underwhelming in terms of performance and handling as the higher-priced successor to the regular Honda Unicorn also sold in India.

First Polaris-era 2012 Indian Motorcycle Rolls Off Spirit Lake Assembly Line

A new era has begun as the first Indian Motorcycle under the ownership of Polaris Industries has been produced at the company’s Spirit Lake, Iowa, factory. The landmark first Polaris-owned Indian won’t be heading right to the showroom floor however; instead, it will undergo extensive testing and evaluation by Polaris. As such, this particular Indian Chief Vintage, and the rest of the 2012 Indian line, will be fairly similar to Indian’s previous offerings, save for some minor updates to catch any issues Polaris already discovered.
