This Indian chief was sold as Lot 501 at the Steve McQueen Estate Auction November 24-25, 1984 at the Imperial Palace in Las Vegas, Nevada. The certificate of authenticity from Terry McQueen and Chad McQueen at the 1984 Estate Auction, Engine is 1926 74ci with 1930 chassis(can’t find frame no. on rear axle plate) Sitting in museum after 1984 Imperial place auction. Missing muffler.(lost when It shipped to Japan) The bike was built the same year McQueen was born I do not have a title for this motorcycle so it will be sold as is with a bill of sale and certificate This Indian Chief is a non-refundable sale. All 50 States Ranked For Highest Motorcycle Ownership Per Capita
Tue, 18 Feb 2014In a recent study done ranking each of the 50 states (and the District of Columbia) by motorcycle ownership per capita, South Dakota ranked the best. There are a total of 69,284 motorcycles registered in the state, according to the Department of Transportation, and with a total population of 816,598, when you do the math, there’s roughly 12 people in South Dakota for every motorcycle. Considering South Dakota is the home of the Sturgis rally, its ranking on this list may not be much of a surprise.

Indian Motorcycle to Reveal 2015 Lineup at Sturgis
Wed, 25 Jun 2014Indian Motorcycle made a splash at last year’s Sturgis Rally, making its rebirth under Polaris Industries and revealing its Thunderstroke 111 V-Twin powered 2014 lineup. It should come as no surprise then that Indian announced it will reveal its all-new 2015 model lineup at this year’s Sturgis Rally. Although Indian makes the “all-new” claim, we expect a similar lineup to what’s currently available (Chief, Chief Vintage and Chieftain), perhaps with a revision or a new spin on an existing model.
