RARE 1923 INDIAN CLUBMANS RACER.. WALL OF DEATH
FROM PREVIOUS OWNER.."restored Indian scout racer, based on a 1923 model. I bought this bike as a basket many years ago from a guy who had it also for many years. He obtained it from the original owners family and said it was run as a club racer in Victoria. After inspection of parts I could see it was a special scout, original race bars, rare Siemens 42 degree magneto, high lift cams, later oil pump, all steel clutch, old alloy pistons and 45 cu in cylinders. Anyway, it has been restored to replicate how  the bike was set up as a club racer with a Wall of Death paint scheme which this model was also famous for. The motor has been professionally restored with new alloy pistons, new bearings thru out, standard Indian clutch and new alloy heads. The bike starts and runs well, it is truly an awesome machine."

THIS MACHINE COULD BE FROM "LUNA PARK" IN VICTORIA AUSTRALIA..
LUNA PARK HAD A NUMBER OF INDIAN TROOPS PERFORM AS FAR AS I KNOW, PRE & POST WAR.
SADLY IN 1952 A LADY RIDER WAS KILLED  AT THIS VENUE RIDING AN INDIAN SCOUT..

Death at Luna Park

POSTED BY TWISTED  HISTORY..

On this day …….. 10th of January 1952

She was Miss Una Langmende, 36, of Neerim Road, Highesdale, a member of a family who perform this act. More than 100 people were watching, when the accident occurred shortly after the act began Mrs Langmende had manoeuvred the machine about half way up the inside of the bowl when she fell, landing at the bottom with the machine on top of her. She was taken to the Alfred Hospital but died shortly after admission.
