Indian 45" Sport Scout description

 1936 Indian 45" Sport Scout

The engine starts and idles fine, it revs out with no hesitation, there are no fuel or major oil leaks, it does mark it's spot with a drop of oil. The oil was just changed, has a new battery with a fuel system flush and carb overhaul. The lights work fine, the tires are in good condition.
The gas tank [left tank] paint is rippling, coming up from the metal. I think this happened because the filler tube [cap area] paint was not sealed.

This machine was maintained by Starklite Indian Motorcycles and hardly ridden. I do not know the actual mileage, there is no odometer.

Two companies named in the Lambretta Consortium’s claims of trademark infringement say they have legitimate rights to use the Italian scooter brand’s name. Clag International and Motom Electronics Group (MEG) have released a joint statement saying Italian courts have ruled their licenses to use the Lambretta name are valid. The statement was released in response to the Lambretta Consortium’s announcement about taking legal action against unlicensed use of the brand.

Polaris Reports Q2 2014 Sales Results

Tue, 22 Jul 2014

The relaunch of Indian Motorcycles continues to be a resounding success for Polaris Industries, helping the company report a 107% increase in second quarter revenue from motorcycle sales. Polaris reported revenues of $103.1 million in the quarter ended June 30, more than double the $49.9 million in revenue reported over  the same quarter last year. Polaris continues to see strong demand for Indian, which relaunched last summer, while demand for Victory decreased by the mid-single digits.
