Husqvarna WR300 description

One thing is sure: the Husqvarna CH Racing Team riders like to go against the grain. The WR 300 is the bike of choice for Sebastien Guillaume. A choice that might seem daring, but the French champion –surrounded by big, powerful 500 cc four-stroke machines - has for years taken his place on the podium of the E3 class at the International Six Days Enduro Championship. Because Guillaume likes his enduro tough, for real men, and that means the Husqvarna WR 300, designed specially on the basis of his experience at the WEC. Indeed for a long time the Husqvarna "300" was simply a suped-up version of the WR 250. When in 2008 it entered the Husqvarna price list as a model, the WR 300 was immediately taken to heart by professionals and fans alike

Last one we have.  New WR300 two stroke.  Never been ridden, great bike.  MSRP $7099.  Save a ton!!!  $4399

Wed, 18 May 2011

This uber rare 1954 AJS E95, aka The Porcupine, may become the most expensive motorcycle in the world. World-famous auction house, Bonhams, has recently announced that it will handle auctioning of an ultra-rare 1954 AJS E95 during the Pebble Beach Car Week held annually in August at the Quail Lodge Golf Club in Carmel, Calif. Bonhams estimates that due to the rarity of the E95 (only four were completed by British brand AJS) it may see a bid as high as $750,000.

Movie: The John Penton Story

Wed, 06 Mar 2013

John Penton was one of the most influential figures in the development of off-road motorcycle racing in America during the 1960s and ’70s. His life’s story is triumphant and tragic. When his attempts to convince Husqvarna to produce a smaller, lighter motorcycle fell on deaf ears, Penton created his own design and commissioned KTM, a small moped and bicycle maker in Austria, to build it. The motorcycle was an instant success in off-road competition and led KTM to expand its efforts in the motorcycle realm, initially in conjunction with Penton and ultimately on its own.

Reunited: Husqvarna and Husaberg Merge

Thu, 16 May 2013

When Pierer Industrie AG purchased Husqvarna from BMW in January, it was obvious some major changes were on their way. Pierer Industries AG is owned by Stefan Pierer, who happens to be chief executive officer of KTM, which also happens to be the parent company of Husaberg. That’s three European motorcycle manufacturers with strong off-road lineages in the same family.
