2008 Husqvarna SMR 450Hey guys, I'm selling my Track 2008 Husqvarna SMR 450 because I need a street legal bike to commute. -2008 Husqvarna SMR 450 Chassis -2008 TC 450 motor, 18 hours, Kick Start, Carbureted -Beringer Brakes-STM Slipper Clutch-16.5 Marchesini front and seventeen Marchesini rear-Custom FMF exhaust-Marzocchi Race Fork, just re-valve by Cyclemall.net-Rear Shock, re-valve by Cyclemall.netPink slip is clean and clear, bike is reg non-op. Bike has been taken to Adams a handful of time and dropped in the dirt section at very low speed. Race motor seized because valve dropped, replaced it with a new 2008 TC 450 motor and now runs like a champ. Reunited: Husqvarna and Husaberg Merge

When Pierer Industrie AG purchased Husqvarna from BMW in January, it was obvious some major changes were on their way. Pierer Industries AG is owned by Stefan Pierer, who happens to be chief executive officer of KTM, which also happens to be the parent company of Husaberg. That’s three European motorcycle manufacturers with strong off-road lineages in the same family.

Husqvarna Developing ABS for Off-Road Use

Husqvarna announced it will introduce the worlds’ first anti-lock braking system designed for off-road racing, equipping a BMW-developed off-road ABS to Husqvarna’s flagship TE449. On paved roads, ABS prevents wheels from locking up, keeping them rotating and providing traction. Off the pavement however, rear wheel lockup is helpful for stopping on loose surfaces such as dirt and gravel.

Husqvarna Teases New Prototype for EICMA

Husqvarna has a history of unveiling surprising new concepts at EICMA, but now that the company is under the auspices of KTM Chief Executive Officer Stefan Pierer, we weren’t sure if that tradition would continue for the upcoming show in Milan. It appears we had nothing to fear, as Husqvarna announced it would unveil a new prototype at EICMA that will “offer a visual incite into the future evolution of the brand”. We’re pretty sure Husky meant “insight” there, but we’ll forgive the Swedish brand if the prototype is as impressive as advertised.
