The asphalt-oriented Strada features a 652 cc single-cylinder DOHC motor based on BMWs venerable G 650 GS engine. A modified EFI system, redesigned cams, higher compression and revised piston and cylinder head increase the power output, allowing the TR650 to boast 58 horsepower while still offering excellent fuel capacity of over 55 mpg.

Wed, 06 Mar 2013John Penton was one of the most influential figures in the development of off-road motorcycle racing in America during the 1960s and ’70s. His life’s story is triumphant and tragic. When his attempts to convince Husqvarna to produce a smaller, lighter motorcycle fell on deaf ears, Penton created his own design and commissioned KTM, a small moped and bicycle maker in Austria, to build it. The motorcycle was an instant success in off-road competition and led KTM to expand its efforts in the motorcycle realm, initially in conjunction with Penton and ultimately on its own.
2015 Husqvarna Off-Road Lineup Revealed
Fri, 27 Jun 2014Husqvarna Motorcycles revealed its 2015 dirtbike model lineup with a number of upgrades, most noticeably the use of WP Suspension’s 4 chamber fork across the entire motocross line. Many of the updates are similar to those introduced on the 2015 KTM lineup, which should be no surprise after Husqvarna was acquired by KTM’s Chief Executive Officer Stefan Pierer. The 2015 motocross lineup includes the four-stroke FC250, FC350, FC450 and TC85 and the two-stroke TC125 and TC250.
