Reunited: Husqvarna and Husaberg Merge

Pierer Industries AG is owned by Stefan Pierer, who happens to be chief executive officer of KTM, which also happens to be the parent company of Husaberg. In fact, Husqvarna is committed to advancing two-stroke technology with the introduction of its latest motorcycle, the TC300. Designed to compete in the newly formed European Motocross 300cc two-stroke championship, the TC300 is a TC250 two-stroke, upgraded to 300cc with accessories soon to be available from the Husky Power range of special parts.
Husqvarna Developing ABS for Off-Road Use
Thu, 03 Nov 2011Husqvarna announced it will introduce the worlds’ first anti-lock braking system designed for off-road racing, equipping a BMW-developed off-road ABS to Husqvarna’s flagship TE449. On paved roads, ABS prevents wheels from locking up, keeping them rotating and providing traction. Off the pavement however, rear wheel lockup is helpful for stopping on loose surfaces such as dirt and gravel.
