Up for sale is a 1974 Husqvarna 250 WR. Clear title. Frame number MK-12923. Engine number 2037. Looks to be in original condition. It does not run, turns over with good compression, has spark, shifts through the gears, both front and rear brakes work as they should. No damage to the motor. Rims are straight. pipe is solid. Looks to be complete. . Overall... a good vintage husky project. Please see all pictures before bidding. John Penton was one of the most influential figures in the development of off-road motorcycle racing in America during the 1960s and ’70s. His life’s story is triumphant and tragic. When his attempts to convince Husqvarna to produce a smaller, lighter motorcycle fell on deaf ears, Penton created his own design and commissioned KTM, a small moped and bicycle maker in Austria, to build it. The motorcycle was an instant success in off-road competition and led KTM to expand its efforts in the motorcycle realm, initially in conjunction with Penton and ultimately on its own.

Husqvarna Baja Concept Unveiled at New York IMS

Husqvarna has unveiled a new dual-sport concept at the New York stop of the 2012 International Motorcycle Shows. At first glance, the Husqvarna Baja Concept appears similar to the Moab concept unveiled at the 2011 EICMA Show last November. Both models are aesthetically inspired by Husqvarna motorcycles from the ’70s and especially Steve McQueen‘s Husqvarna H400 famously immortalized on the cover of Sports Illustrated.

2012 Husqvarna TE Lineup Announced

Husqvarna has announced its 2012 lineup of TE dual-sports. For 2012, all four TE models have been updated with all-black chromoly frames, silver rims and new graphics. The 2012 Husqvarna TE250 and TE310 both get revised suspension with stiffer 48mm open cartridge forks and rear shock from Kayaba.
