Husqvarna 125 XC description

You are buying a rare 1984 Husqvarna 125XC off-road motorcycle. XC 6-speed transmission with first thru third WR gear ratio and fourth thru sixth CR ratio. 36 mm Mikuni carb. This was the only year for this configuration of twin shock, liquid cooled and drum brake model. AHRMA legal for 125 Ultima PVMX class or PV 200cc cross country. Motor is just rebuilt with all new bearings, piston and bore. Aluminum clutch cover with new Barnett steel clutch plates. Brand new PVL internal rotor ignition. 87 front fork internals with with Race Tech .47 kg springs and straight up bar mount clamps,with Renthal bars. Powder coated frame, fresh ITC Ohlins shocks with HP progressive wound springs. All new wheel bearings and brakes. Fresh Michelin S12 tires, with gold DID chain and sprockets are all good and ready to race. This purchase also comes with extra used engine cases, transmission, cranks, cylinder, head, radiator and exhaust pipe. In the Nashville, TN area and can possibly be delivered to a few select remaining southeastern 2016 AHRMA events.

Reunited: Husqvarna and Husaberg Merge

When Pierer Industrie AG purchased Husqvarna from BMW in January, it was obvious some major changes were on their way. Pierer Industries AG is owned by Stefan Pierer, who happens to be chief executive officer of KTM, which also happens to be the parent company of Husaberg. That’s three European motorcycle manufacturers with strong off-road lineages in the same family.

The BMW Group has announced the sale of 110-year old Husqvarna Motorcycles to Austrian-based Pierer Industrie AG. “The BMW Group signed a purchase agreement with Pierer Industrie AG (Austria) for the acquisition of Husqvarna Motorcycles. The acquisition will proceed subject to approval by anti-trust authorities.

Husqvarna Teases New Prototype for EICMA

Husqvarna has a history of unveiling surprising new concepts at EICMA, but now that the company is under the auspices of KTM Chief Executive Officer Stefan Pierer, we weren’t sure if that tradition would continue for the upcoming show in Milan. It appears we had nothing to fear, as Husqvarna announced it would unveil a new prototype at EICMA that will “offer a visual incite into the future evolution of the brand”. We’re pretty sure Husky meant “insight” there, but we’ll forgive the Swedish brand if the prototype is as impressive as advertised.
