Honda XR description

Honda's 2005 XR650L was built with the serious on and off-road enthusiasts in mind!  This 2005 Honda XR650L has been meticulously maintained and runs like the day it came off the showroom.  Outstanding condition!  This bike was ridden exclusively on-road and hasn’t been dropped or abused.  The tires and brakes are still like new.  All lights work as they should.and the bike also comes with the factory red handguards, additional rider pegs, strap (for additional rider to hold on), original owner’s manual, and a skid plate.  This bike needs nothing but a rider and this is your chance to save thousands over new!!!  The XR models are known for their outstanding reliability and performance and this bike is a perfect example.

Please do not bid if you do not intend to buy and feel free to ask any and all questions.  See detailed pictures provided and if you need more, I am willing to take additional or show the bike in person.  This bike is for local pickup only.  Shipping IS NOT included and would be 100% buyer's responsibility.  Once payment is received, I will store the bike at no charge until you pick up or arrange for shipping (up to 2 weeks unless otherwise agreed upon).  This bike is also for sale locally and I reserve the right to end the auction early.  This bike is sold with a clear Illinois title, ready for transfer.

Additional information on the Honda XR650L model:

644cc of power and a 37-inch seat height differentiate this Honda in what has become a highly competitive segment of the motorcycle market. Built in Japan but ridden the world over, the XR650L was designed to be taken straight off the showroom floor and ridden away from the truck and into the elements.

The XR650L flies the off-road flag for Honda in 2005 with a host of proven strengths, most significant of which is unbelievable durability.  The 2.8-gallon fuel tank should be enough to get you out to the middle of nowhere and back on one tank.

Top 10 EICMA Show Bikes You May Have Missed

Mon, 14 Nov 2011

Interesting motorcycles you probably didn't see1 of 11Next Last There’s no cave deep, mountain high or rock heavy enough to have thwarted news of Ducati’s 1199 Panigale superbike launch at the 2012 EICMA show in Milan, Italy. And a few models such as Honda’s NC700S and X, Kawasaki’s Versys 1000 and CRP’s Energica were unveiled without heavy prior fanfare, but gasps of surprise weren’t heard when the wraps were taken off Triumph’s Tiger 1200 Explorer, Husqvarna’s Nuda or MV Augusta’s F3 675 among others, whose existences were revealed months in advance of the show. What we’ve comprised below is our list Top 10 Bikes unveiled at EICMA that didn’t receive top billing but are certainly worthy of your attention.

Provisional 2012 World Superbike Championship Entry List Released

Wed, 18 Jan 2012

The International Motorcycling Federation has released a preliminary entry list for the 2012 World Superbike Championship. The preliminary list includes 24 entries representing six manufacturers: Aprilia, BMW, Ducati, Honda, Kawasaki and Suzuki. Noticeably absent is Yamaha which announced last summer it would pull out of WSBK racing.

How about Edwards at Repsol Honda?

Wed, 13 Jun 2012

Casey Stoner's decision to retire at the end of the season has had a real shake-up for the Repsol Honda line-up along with the discussion, rumour and speculation of who will take his vacated seat for next season. With silly season occurring much earlier following Stoner's announcement at the French GP in May, rumours and speculation have been banded around with three candidates leading the way: Jorge Lorenzo, Valentino Rossi and Marc Marquez. Lorenzo, until he was confirmed to stick with Yamaha for another two seasons, was the most plausible of the trio as both himself and Casey are the top two riders in the world right now, making him the obvious choice after the Australian departs.
