Honda XR description

1990 HONDA XR200R.....
great bike to restore or you can ride it as it is.....
Clear Tennessee title in my name....
I entered 100 in the mileage category because it required me to type something in--of course I have no idea what the mileage is (no odometer).....

the first owner traded it in @ the Honda dealer for a bigger bike in 1991 & he hadn't ridden it very much---a friend of mine bought it from the dealer & only rode it a few times before he parked it on his covered patio & left it sitting there for 16-17 years....I got it from him in 2009, fixed it back up & have ridden it probably 2-3 hours total...

Bike runs, rides, stops, handles, etc. great...
no leaks....
automatic compression release works fine, but I don't use it, so I just disconnected it.....
oil has just been changed & the carb, tank & petcock all cleaned.....
tires are almost new....
fenders, side panels, tank are faded & stained, but not broken....
seat has been recovered by a local upholstery shop....
swingarm pivot rubber chain slider pad is brittle/broken (see pic where I am pointing to it)...
front number plate brake plastic cable guide is broken (see pic where I am pointing to it)...

I will not crate or ship ; pickup or shipping will be the responsibility of the buyer......I will help load it onto your truck, trailer,etc......sorry; not interested in trades (cash sale only) & I will print out a bill of sale if you need one......$250 deposit to paypal within 48 hours & balance to be paid in cash OR by paypal when picking the bike upafter full payment, it belongs to you...I am trying to give you all the info I can on the bike & want to be as honest & fair as I can, but IF you examine the bike when you come to pick it up & can show me that it's not what I said it was, I will refund your deposit, end the transaction at that point & we will end all obligations to each other at that time......I can hold the bike for a couple of weeks to give you time to arrange for pickup...

I shouldn't have to say this, but if you don't want the bike & are not going to pay for it, PLEASE do not bid & waste my time.....I'll give you a honest chance to back out if you come to pick the bike up & can show me that I've misrepresented it--I think that's more than fair....I have had too many people who won auctions on other bikes I had for sale & then backed out .....thanks..

A Dizzying Lap Of Imola + Video

Wed, 14 May 2014

Nilox, the action camera sponsor for World Superbike, makes it a point to film an on-board lap of each track on the calendar before each race weekend. A few weeks ago we brought you footage of Giuliano Rovelli lapping a Honda CBR1000RR SP around Assen. This week Rovelli is back, this time aboard a Kawasaki ZX-10R, giving us a rapid tour of Imola, the track made famous by the tragic passing of Formula 1 legend Ayrton Senna 20 years ago, and also by the legendary battle between Troy Bayliss and Colin Edwards in 2002 which decided the championship.

Ronax 500cc Two-Stroke Sportbike Coming June 8

Wed, 16 Apr 2014

German company Ronax GmbH is producing a limited edition street-legal two-stroke sportbike rumored to be based on the Honda NSR500 GP racebike. The company isn’t releasing much information but what little it has revealed about the Ronax 500 has certainly piqued our interest. What we do know for certain is the motorcycle will be powered by a 500cc two-stroke V-4 engine, which sounds like Honda’s racebike of yesteryear.

Official 2014 MotoGP Entry List Released

Fri, 28 Feb 2014

The International Motorcycling Federation (FIM) released the official entry list for the 2014 MotoGP Championship including 23 riders representing 13 teams. The final entry list also lists each rider’s status as either a Open or Factory class rider. The eight Factory riders are allowed to use their teams’ own proprietary ECU software but are otherwise limited by a freeze on engine development, a limit of five engines for the whole season and just 5.3 gallons of fuel per race.
