Honda VTX description

READY TO BUY A PIECE OF TV HISTORY??? WANT TO OWN A PIECE OF THE LEGEND THAT IS DON WOOD??? WANT TO OWN AND RIDE THE BIKE THAT SAW 147k miles of traveling AMERICA, Distributing The WHITE GOLD KNOWN AS MOONSHINE??? WANT TO OWN A PIECE OF TV AMERICANA HISTORY? OF DISCOVERY CHANNEL HISTORY? OF LEGENDARY DON WOOD HISTORY? Well we have the bike for you. Up for auction is the one and only, legendary DON WOODS Honda VTX 1800r motorcycle featured in both season 1 and season 2 of the DISCOVERY CHANNELS very popular show "MOONSHINERS". This bike is in "as is" condition. With a clean title. It is exactly the way it was approximately 2 months ago when DON WOOD left it with us for auction, after finishing a new bike build and retiring "BIG RED". DON WOOD logged over 147K miles on this motorcycle, the majority of which were done during his travels meeting people from all over this great country "delivering" product while filming and working for HISTORY CHANNELLS MOONSHINERS TV SHOW. There have been a few modifications to the stock set-up, such as fllorboards, a batwing fairing, heel toe controls, a ct rear tire setup and a trailer hitch to name a few. We have ridden and tested this bike on the highways and byways of NC and logged an additional 250 miles without any incident or mechanical issue. All electronics work, including the stereo in the batwing fairing (currently disconnected). All mechanics work on the bike perfectly fine. The motorcycle fires up instantaneously and purrs like a kitten. There are some minor cosmetic issues with this bike, such as dented front and rear fenders, scratched paint, covered in stickers, etc, etc. Pretty much everything you could expect from a ride that has seen 147K+ miles, all 50 states of our grand country, more highways and byways than most people will see in a lifetime, and more stories than anyone can remember. the bike has a clean title. WE DO NOT HAVE THE MAINTAINANCE HISTORY ASSOCIATED WITH THIS VEHICLE. WE KNOW, FROM MR. DON WOOD, THAT HE RELIGIOUSLY SERVICED THIS BIKE EVERY 3-4 THOUSAND MILES, FLUSHED ALL FLUIDS, ALL OILS ETC. HE HAD THE TOP END OF THE ENGINE SERVICED AT 75K MILES WITH NEW RINGS, SEALS ETC. WE WILL ACCEPT, FOR THIS AUCTION ONLY, CASH IN HAND, MONEY ORDERS OR CERTIFIED CASHIERS CHECKS IF BUYER IS PICKING BIKE UP PERSONALLY. WE WILL ACCEPT PAYPAL PAYMENT, BUT BUYER WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR ALL FEES. IMMEDIATE, NON REFUNDABLE DEPOSIT OF $500.00 IS REQUIRED WITHIN 48HOURS OF AUCTION CLOSE. THIS MAY BE DONE VIA PAYPAL, OR EXPRESS MAIL MONEY ORDER ONLY. ITEM WILL NOT LEAVE THE PROPERTY UNTIL ALL FUNDS HAVE CLEARED BANK ACCOUNTS OR CASH IS IN HAND. WE WILL NOT SHIP THIS MOTORCYCLE. PERIOD. IF BUYER WISHES TO ARRANGE FOR SHIPMENT, THEY MAY DO SO AND COORDINATE WITH US FOR PICKUP. THEY WILL ACCEPT ALL RESPONSIBILITY FOR THIS ITEM, FROM THE MOMENT THE SHIPPER ARRIVES ON PROPERTY. THIS IS A NO REFUND, NO RETURN, AS IS AUCTION. BUYER IS RESPONSIBLE FOR EVERYTHING, PAYMENT, SHIPPING, LOCAL PICKUP, FEES ASSOCIATED WITH PAYPAL, ETC.

Honda's latest Cub

Fri, 18 May 2012

Honda released their original C100 Super Cub way back in 1958 when other bikes at the time proved to be notoriously unreliable and difficult to ride. Since then, they have sold over 27 million C90s, with the step-through framed bike proving to be easy to ride and even easier to maintain. Looking like it's come straight from the film WALL-E, the new UNI-CUB might have two wheels but any similarity with a Honda C90 ends there.

Simon and Leo

Thu, 11 Aug 2011

If you are a track day regular this year, you may well have bumped into former racer and friendly Kiwi, Simon Crafar. I first met him in Malaysia in 1990 when he was riding for a Yamaha dealer team, sweating his way round circuits like Shah Alam and Johor Bahru but with a long term plan to make it onto the World scene. And he didn’t take long as after riding for Honda in the UK in 1992 he moved to WSB in 1994 and enjoyed success with both the Honda and Kawasaki factory teams.

Honda to Introduce Larger “New Concept” Models for North America

Fri, 21 Sep 2012

Honda announced it is following up on its NC700 series with a new large-sized model, with sales expected to begin in North America in 2013. Honda first announced plans for its NC700 models in at the 2010 EICMA show with a concept it called the “New Mid“, so it really shouldn’t be a surprise Honda would follow it up with a “New Large” series. The new models were announced in a presentation by Honda Chief Executive Officer Takanobu Ito alongside plans to develop a new MotoGP-derived sportbike.
