Honda Shadow description

2004 Honda Shadow Vlx Deluxe VLX600, As you can tell by the pictures and title, I'm selling a red 2004 Honda Shadow VT600CD VLX Deluxe for $2500 O.B.O. KBB on it is $2655. It's not in perfect cosmetic condition but it runs great and doesn't look too bad. I took a picture of the main areas of concern a couple scratches on the tank and rear fender, and a couple medium size tears on the seat. I am the second owner and I've had it since 17000 miles (2 years). The oil and filter were changed at 20000 so it has a little more time before it should need another. The tires and front brake pads have about 2000 miles on them. I put in a K&N air filter when I got it and cleaned it when I did the oil change. I lube the chain once a week. I have chain lube, transmission fluid (unused) and the Haynes manual you can have. The only thing that looks like it may need changed soon is the brake fluid. I changed the spark plugs when I bought it as well. I have the new registration sticker for the tag I just haven't ridden it since I got it so I haven't put it on yet. Insurance on it is $6 a month through Geico. Even for a new rider it should be more than $20 a month. I commute from Mira Mesa to Oceanside every day on it and it handles the trip just fine. It can go up to 115 miles on a tank on the interstate or about 90 miles in the city. I've taken it through the Palomar Mountains several times. It's got a small engine but it's still lots of fun. It's a great bike to learn on and it's a Honda so it's easy to work on yourself and good to learn the ins and outs of motorcycle maintenance with. That's all I can think of right now. If you have any more questions, want more pictures, or would like to come see it I check my email frequently but feel free to text me at 580-504-9726. $2,500.00 5805049726

Isle of Man TT 2012: Supersport TT Race 1 Results

Mon, 04 Jun 2012

Padett’s Honda racer Bruce Anstey won the first Monster Energy Supersport TT race of the 2012 Isle of Man TT by a mere 0.77 seconds over rider Cameron Donald. The race could have been even closer if Gary Johnson, another Honda rider, hadn’t run out of gas on the final lap. Before he ran out of fuel, Johnson was in the mix with Anstey and Donald with just 0.62 seconds separating the three riders.

So that's why he's called RANDY de Puniet

Tue, 20 Jul 2010

RANDY de Puniet may well have just been ejected from his LCR Honda RC212V MotoGP racer during qualifying for Sunday's Sachsenring GP but that ain't gonna stop him from bringing one of the company perks with him to Dr Costa's on-circuit surgery. The Frenchman crashed during qualifying after hitting oil and water spilled on track by Jorge Lorenzo's Fiat Yamaha, after it spewed its guts along almost the entire length of the start finished straight. Following the crash De Puniet was whisked away on a stretcher with a suspected broken foot.

Do you remember Honda's EVO Blade?

Thu, 05 May 2011

I can remember exactly where I was when I first saw Honda's TT100 Evolution Fireblade: at the dinner table, reading MCN as a 16-year old lad and being told to put the paper down and get on with my dinner! I'm sure you appreciate why the lamb chops had to wait.. It was created by Honda to celebrate their 100th TT victory, however I'm pretty sure Honda had another agenda: to homologate it so they could put it up against the mighty new Yamaha R1 at the TT.
