Honda Sabre description

Selling my 1985 Honda V65 Sabre 1100. Has 55,205 miles and I only put on 200-300 miles per year. Maybe someone else has more time to enjoy. I've owned for about 3 years and it has run fine.  Has a trunk bag and removable windshield. This is not a bike for rookies. It was the most powerful production bike in 1985 and even at 31 years old, will give newer bikes a run for their money. Six speed, shaft drive, water cooled and about 120 horsepower.  Works better with taller riders as it sits a little high. Ask questions or request photos as needed before bidding. These bikes are getting rare and hard to find. $200.00 deposit in 48 hours and balance before taking bike. Local pick up or all arrangements and cost for shipping are buyers responsibility. I can help load truck but that's all. I had this listed a while ago but I pulled the ad when I started it and gas leaked out of one of the carbs. I figured it was a stuck float and it was. Just picked it up from the shop this morning and it's fine. Drove it home with no issues. Once again, these are powerful bikes but very cool to ride. This is my 4th V65 Sabre but I don't have time to ride. There will be a few more miles on odometer since I'll probably try to get it out a little before it's gone.

Day 3 Dakar 2014: Barreda Maintains Overall Lead, Despres Catches Up

Tue, 07 Jan 2014

Joan Barreda won his second special stage this year and now boasts a lead of more than 13 minutes over Cyril Despres and Marc Coma, the two other beneficiaries of a particularly decisive stage. Today’s stage, part one of the first marathon stage with no team service, was characterized by the highest ever racing altitude in Dakar history. Facing the 22,841 foot summit of the Aconcagua, South America´s highest mountain, the motorcycle riders had to cross a pass over 14,107 feet in elevation in trial-like conditions.

2013 AIMExpo: Skidbike

Mon, 21 Oct 2013

One of the most inventive devices seen at this week’s AIMExpo is the Skidbike, a novel creation that helps teach riders the skills to balance and to master threshold braking. It’s a Swedish/American invention originally designed to educate riders how to sufficiently apply brakes to avoid an accident without the danger of tipping over and causing injuries. It uses an electrically operated hydraulic ram built on a hinged dolly to reduce front-tire grip, which drastically reduces speeds when traction is lost so riders can learn how to use the brakes effectively.
