Honda ST1300A tech info
Honda ST1300A description
After retiring in 2010, I find myself golfing more and more and riding less and less. That's not good, especially when you have two motorcycles, an ST1300 and a BMW K100RT / Hannigan sidecar outfit. I guess my riding days are behind me now so I am selling my ST1300. I bought it from the local Honda dealer in 2004, used with only 1200 miles on it. The original owner bought the bike so he and his wife could tour on it, but she had one ride and said "thanks, but no thanks", so he traded the ST in on a VFR800 (the bike he probably wanted in the first place). The ST has been and is a terrific bike. It has always had fully synthetic oil. I suspect the bike will easily go three times the present mileage without a problem. Think about it. Liquid cooled, 125 HP, only used in summer. At 70 mph on the freeway, the bike is turning less than 4000 rpm. Redline is 8400 rpm. Excellent Condition. Good tires (2,200 miles on them, I usually get 10,000) Over $3000 in upgrades and accessories, including; MCC Electronic Cruise Control Clarion AM/FM CD player with Remote HyperPro 466 shock with Remote Hydraulic Preload Adjuster Sonic Front Fork Springs Honda TopCase with Luggage Rack Gorilla Alarm System with Garage Door Opener Fuse Block Electrical Connection Auxiliary Light Kit Rifle Windshield (plus Stock WS) Symtec Heated Grips Cox Racing Radiator Protector, Rear Shock Protector Fork Stanchion Protectors Three (3) Powerlet Outlets Digital Voltmeter Honda Soft Luggage Honda Tank Bag Ram Ball Mount Two (2) "Key in a Cap" Easy access keys for Glove Box and Seat/Luggage locks |

Old boys up front and where are the new 600 Gixers?
Mon, 28 Feb 2011As I’ve been gagging for the new race season to kick off so it was almost a pleasure getting up at stupid 0 clock to watch the World Superbike Championship opener at Phillip Island last weekend. I have to say Messrs Burnicle and Whitham were on form although I was disappointed there were none of the usual verbal attacks on each other that always add to the entertainment. I’m sure they will put things right soon but the world superbike regulars must have been disheartened that Moto GP veterans nailed five of the six available rostrum slots.
Stuck for a gift? Solution No3: Honda, Yamaha, Suzuki or Kawasaki merchandise
Fri, 09 Dec 2011After the excesses of KTM and Harley's gifts ranges, Hondas seems tame. But even the sober Japanese firm has a handful of oddities in its line-up. The Japanese have been accused of imitating in the past, and Honda's incorporation of a baby's dummy in its official accessories catalogue mimics KTM's 'Silencer-System Mini Pro'.
Honda’s New Documentary: Dreams vs Nightmares [trailer]
Wed, 24 Jun 2009Honda have been releasing video documentaries on… well… everything! Why? Well to toot their own horn and remind you that Honda is crazy cool. Actually, their videos aren’t that bad, although somewhat dramatic. I hunkered down and watched their “Failure: The Secret to Success” video and it held my attention. Their new video is titled “Dreams vs Nightmares”, which features a few notable people such as Clive Barker and Deepak Chopra. I’m curious to see how they take this theme and use it to show how and why Honda creates and designs the products they make.
