Honda ST1100 description
2002 HONDA ST1100 (non-ABS) with <4,900 miles as of this posting.
Miles are inching up as I am riding it until sold. One of the cleanest and probably lowest mileage ST1100 to come to the market in over a decade. It's stock original plus an installed Hondaline Passenger Backrest with zippered leather storage pouch. HONDA ST1100s are well-balanced sport-touring bikes, legendary for going HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS of miles with fluid changes and routine maintenance. It averages about 50 mpg on the highway and 300+ miles between fill-ups. Not many bikes can back up such a claim. Essentially, this is a new bike. It's not perfect, but easily a 95/100. You'll truly appreciate what you've found. Thanks everyone for all your valuable comments and suggestions. I'll deduct $200 off the final Ebay sales price for any local (cash) buyer. All major banks are located in or around Arlington Heights, IL. NOTE TO BUYER: You agree that the $500 deposit is non-refundable for any reason. Don't buy this motorcycle if you don't agree with this policy. Buyer acknowledges and agrees that the $500 deposit is non-refundable for any reason. BE SURE YOU WANT THIS BIKE BEFORE YOU AGREE TO BUY IT. THIS MOTORCYCLE IS OFFERED AND SOLD COMPLETELY AS-IS WITHOUT CONDITION BEING REPRESENTED NOR WARRANTED IN ANY WAY. INSPECTION AVAILABLE IN ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, IL. SEND A MESSAGE WITH YOUR NAME AND NUMBER TO SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT. Or call ATey47-4fivv4-sevvn480. NO JOYRIDES. Cash in hand and it's signed over to you. I can deliver (ride) it to the lower 48 states for $500 plus a train ticket back; (less if you're within 250 miles of Arlington Heights, Illinois). |

2013 Honda CB500F, CB500X and CBR500R Recalled in Australia
Tue, 18 Feb 2014Honda has recalled its 2013 CB500F, CB500X and CBR500R models in Australia because of a defect that could cause an oil leak. At the moment, no recall has been announced for the U.S., though there is a good possibility one will be announced shortly, as all 500-series models are manufactured in the same Honda factory in Thailand. There is a similar recall for the Japanese market for the CB400F, CB400X and CBR400R, which are mechanically identical to Honda’s 500-series models, but with a smaller engine to meet the country’s tiered licensing requirements. According to the Australian and Japanese recall notices, the rocker arm shaft sealing bolt may come loose, causing oil to leak from the engine.
WSBK 2013: Assen Race Report
Mon, 29 Apr 2013Tom Sykes earned his first win of the 2013 season and came a hair short of a double victory at the World Superbike Championship round at Assen in the Netherlands. Traditionally a fast starter and qualifier, Sykes started on the pole once again at Assen and had strong starts in both races. But unlike the first two rounds where he started strong before fading, the Kawasaki factory rider was able to remain at the front in both races at Assen and earn some valuable championship points.
