NEW: Yoshimura ends cans for Honda CB1000R

LEGENDARY JAPANESE tuning house Yoshimura has designed a series of slip-on performance end cans for Honda’s naked CB1000R.The brand new EEC-approved cans bolt straight onto the bike's exiting pipework and feature a stainless steel end cone and integral lower Yoshimura logoed cat-converter heat shield. Even with the dB-Killer baffle in place peak power is improved, as is mid-range torque with further performance gains available if the baffle is removed.A full race mid-pipe, extracting yet more power is on the way and will be available later in the year. Maverick Vinales Quits Blusens Avintia Moto3 Team

Maverick Vinales seems to be living up to his name, announcing he is leaving the Blusens Avintia team despite sitting second in the Moto3 World Championship with three rounds to go. Vinales traveled with the team to Sepang for the upcoming Malaysian Grand Prix but did not take part in Free Practice and later announced the split. You may remember Vinales from last season when he raced in the former 125cc Grand Prix World Championship for the Paris Hilton-sponsored Blusens-BQR team.

FIM Updates Superbike Racing Homologation Lists for 2013

The International Motorcycling Federation (FIM) has released an updated list of motorcycles homologated for the 2013 Superbike, Supersport, and Superstock racing season. Notable additions include the new BMW S1000RR HP4, the MV Agusta F3 and the Superbike-spec Ducati 1199 Panigale R. To qualify a production-based racebike for FIM homologations, manufacturers have to meet certain production thresholds.
