Honda Other description

If you are seriously in the market for a unique, meticulously maintained, well-equipped 2000 VFR then your look stops here. The 2002 and newer VFRs with the V-Tech engine require more expensive V-Tech valve-adjustment maintenance. The 1998 - 2001 VFRs do not require the same expensive maintenance, ask any certified Honda mechanic. This is a professionally-owned, garage-kept bike. I purchased the stock bike in September 2003 as the second owner with 4500 miles, and I have the complete service history. Recently serviced and inspected in December 2012 and August 2013, it has been serviced by certified Honda mechanics every service interval, which included Honda Repsol Synthetic Oil changes every 5-6K miles and NGK Spark Plugs every 15K miles. Brand new Michelin Pilot Power 2CT tires (front and rear) were installed on 8-9-13. I have added the following accessories: LoJack Early-Warning Theft Recovery System (which is transferable to the new owner), Two Brothers C-Series Carbon Fiber High-Mount Exhaust, K & N Air Filter, Deltran Battery Tender, Custom Sargent Seat (Includes the rear passenger seat), Zero Gravity Tinted Wind Screen, Fender Eliminator Kit, Hot Grips with Grip Puppies (Foam Cushioning), Pazzo Adjustable Racing Levers, Pro-Tek Pro-Lite Foot Pegs (front and rear), rear passenger hand grips, Pro-Grip gas tank protector and gas cap cover, custom engraved VFR clutch and brake fluid reservoir covers, 12-Volt Single Socket charger for cell phone, Throttlemeister cruise control, R & G Racing Frame Sliders, Turn Signal Relay (To accommodate LED light bulbs), Signal Dynamics Universal Brake Light, Wolo Air Horn, and blind-spot mirrors. The bike is also pre-wired for a GPS. The new owner will also receive: 2 keys, the Honda VFR Owner's Manual, a Clymer/Honda Service Manual, a custom made SP Leather Vest with Honda logos, and limited edition leather Honda Rider Collection jacket (Size 48). The title is free and clear of any liens. The bike has never been in an accident, extremely fast, very stable, and it stops like it should. $5500, make me an offer, and REASONABLE offers will be considered. Serious inquires only. NO PayPal transactions. The bike is located in Chantilly, VA, 25 miles west of Washington, DC. Contact Erik: (240) 882-0473. Thank you for your time.

Johnny Depp causes high-speed crash

Fri, 15 Mar 2013

I can understand that seeing Johnny Depp appear from out of nowhere might be distracting to a rider. Obviously not content with damage caused to the Honda in the video above (as a direct result of his on-track presence) Depp gets on the bike to go for a spin then crashes the bike himself. This is despite his previous Harley riding experience and some crystal clear advice about the 'killer clutch'.

WSBK 2013: Jerez Race Report

Mon, 21 Oct 2013

Eugene Laverty did everything he could, scoring a pair of race wins but it was not enough as Tom Sykes rode smartly and conservatively at the season finale in Spain, securing his first ever World Superbike Championship. Sykes landed in Jerez with a 37-point lead over Laverty and a 38-point lead over Sylvain Guintoli. While Laverty battled Marco Melandri to win Race One, Sykes coasted comfortably in third for most of the race to score 16 points, enough to clinch the title.

WSBK 2013: Monza Race Report

Mon, 13 May 2013

Eugene Laverty and Marco Melandri split a pair of victories at Monza but the most biggest news from the World Superbike weekend was a strange series of appeals after Race Two that saw Tom Sykes finish third, relegated to fourth and then reinstated on the final step of the podium. The unusual mix-up occurred after Sykes, sitting in third place, ran off track and into the run off area on Turn 5 on his final lap. The Kawasaki rider returned to the track again in third place where he finished ahead of Aprilia‘s Sylvain Guintoli.
