Honda Other description

                                                               1983 HONDA CX650 TURBO

Collectible, Show bike, Rider

Pristine, all original, Museum Quality—No scratches , dings or rust

Retired CEO downsizing personal motorcycle collection.

This is a magnificent example of the 1983 Honda CX650 Turbo, produced one year only. Honda produced only 1777 of these motorcycles making it one of the rarest of the decade. 1200 were exported to North America.  Few of these bikes still exist in museum condition. I’ve owned this one over twenty years. It is a local Alabama bike.

With 650cc’s this machine produces 100 horsepower, equal to the output of a 1000cc bike. It’s a Turbocharged and fuel injected marvel - perfectly preserved for 33 years. If you are interested in a meticulously cared for CX650 Turbo, I encourage you to look at the photos and enlarge them to fully appreciate the condition of this motorcycle. Note the finely preserved finishes on all painted and plated surfaces—all are original and immaculate. It’s as showroom clean behind the fairing as  it is on the exterior.

Operationally this bike needs nothing. Everything works correctly—all electrics, switches, lights, horn, gauges. Battery is new. Clutch, transmission, and drive shaft all work as new. Engine starts easily, idles right and pulls strongly to its 9000 RPM redline.  Concealed battery tender connection is included for storage or display.

Now 33 years old this bike can be enjoyed as a collectible, show bike or rider. Makes a great conversation piece with its gorgeous body work and gleaming red, white, and blue factory paint.

Bid with confidence. Buy a landmark machine in magnificent condition. This is just one of dozens of my personal collectible motorcycles I’ve sold to delighted eBay buyers.

Original owners manual, tool kit, and factory brochure are included.

James Toseland Announces Retirement from Racing

Fri, 09 Sep 2011

Two-time World Superbike Champion James Toseland announced his immediate retirement from motorcycle racing due to a debilitating injury to his right wrist. Signed with the BMW Motor Italia racing team, Toseland has been limited to just seven of 20 races in this season’s WSBK Championship due to the wrist injury initially suffered during a private test at Spain’s Aragon circuit in March. After undergoing an operation for the injury, Toseland made two attempts at returning to racing, first at the Miller Motorsports Park round in May and again at the Silverstone round in July.

2013 Honda CRF250L Dual-Sport Officially Announced for US

Tue, 29 May 2012

As expected, Honda has officially announced it will introduce its new CRF250L to the U.S., offering it as a 2013 model for $4,499. The 2013 Honda CRF250L is powered by a liquid-cooled fuel-injected 249cc Single inherited from the CBR250R, so it carries the same low-friction innovations such as the roller rocker arm design. Like the CBR, the CRF250L is produced in Thailand, helping keep costs low.
