Honda Other description

You are looking at a 1983 Honda Ascot 500. This is a 500cc, twin cylinder, 6 speed, water cooled engine with a shaft drive and is very quick and handles like a dream. I have ridden this bike about 2000 miles without the slightest problem. I would not be afraid to ride it any place. I always run ethanol free gas so that may contribute to its fine running nature.

This particular bike is in excellent condition. There are no leaks, it start instantly, idles smooth as glass and runs excellent. There are hardly any flaws on the bike considering its age. The seat is perfect. The tires, battery, and starter are brand new. All the lights and gauges work. The only item that is not stock is the gas tank. The original tank was rusted beyond repair, and after a thorough, fruitless, search for a stock tank I opted for a Honda shadow tank which fits with no alterations to the original mountings. The tank does have a very slight dimple. The pictures show it. I just like to be truthful so there are no bad feelings. If you desired and found a stock tank it would just be a matter of taking this one off and putting the stock one on.

This bike model is becoming very rare and to find one in this shape rarer. My reason for selling is because I am seventy and its time for my “boy toys” to go.

I am putting a modest reserve on this auction. . Bid with confidence. Shipping is the responsibility of the buyer, but I will do my best to accommodate you. Thanks for looking
