Honda Other description

There is something special about an inline six cyl motorcycle, and even today - 0+ years later - a six cyl bike is still rather rare amp; exotic. The CBX is already a collector bike, and part of any serious bucket-list must-own bike collection. The 1st year CBX is probably the most desirable in this respect, because the touring accessories that were added in later years didn't make the bike sexier, and many people prefer the look of the natural cast aluminum rather than the later black engines. No disrespect to any of them however - they are ALL worth owning! : -) Offered for auction is this 1979 Honda CBX, 1 of two that I own. This machine was parked a little over a year ago due to leaks in the front and rear master cylinders - which seems to be a weakness on these bikes - but otherwise it was a fine running bike. I purchased it to make a cafe racer out of it, with the thought of duplicating the look of a 1960s Honda racing bike. But I'm currently in the middle of a Harley XR750 powered Norton featherbed cafe racer build, which has turned into a time consuming money pit of a project - so I don't think that another cafe racer project is going to happen. And the truth is that I think this CBX is just too nice to cut up into a cafe racer - it deserves to be restored amp; back out on the road. I already have 1 bone stock restored 1979 CBX, so it's time to let this 1 go. This bike still has the original exhaust system and the original 1yr only seat tail section. The exhaust is in overall terrific shape, but someone has removed the end baffle from the muffler for a better sound. The seat tail section has not had a hole blown into it amp; been repaired as many 1979 tail sections seem to suffer, which is rare!!

Today at Mugello, ahead of this weekend’s MotoGP race at the famous Italian racetrack, Team HRC unveiled its 2014 Dakar team and motorcycle. Austin Kicks Off MotoGP Weekend!

Wed, 17 Apr 2013

This weekend, the MotoGP circus makes its way to the United States for round two of the world championship, held at the stunning new Circuit of the Americas in Austin, Texas, the first time the track will host a world championship level motorcycle event. Expect to see the world’s fastest racebikes reach speeds over 200 mph on the 1 km (0.62-mile) back straight, and bring ear plugs — these bikes are loud! Fresh off a 1-2 finish in the season opener in Qatar, Jorge Lorenzo and Valentino Rossi are looking to carry the momentum to CotA.
