Honda Other description

I'm selling what I feel to be a very very good example of an restored, and most unmodified 1966 Honda Super Cub 50cc Scooter. This bike just went through a pretty extensive restoration where it was taken all the way down to the frame, stripped, and repainted. New tires, plastic, seat, graphics, and many other parts were replaced. I have far more money invested than what I am likely to get out of it. The only thing that is left to do is install the front and rear turn signals (this will require a little work to make them fit properly).  There are a couple very small areas of imperfections where the painted missed a little bodywork on the rear fender before painting over the dings. The scooter does run, but all fluids have been drained, because I never intended on using it (only restoring & adding it to my collection). The bike looks and runs very well,& would certainly be a fantastic addition to somebody's collection should they choose to use it or simply collect it and take it to shows. As mentioned, the fuel has been drained out & the inside of the tank is very nice. Its lived in Arizona for most of it's life and originally came from California many many years ago, so the bike has lived a stress free and rust free life. It was drained of it's fuel & put away about 10-12 years ago and has not been used since. The bike DOES run and has been ran since then (as recently as 1-2 months ago), just not ridden or abused. If you have any questions, feel free to email or call me at 541-543-3477. I am selling my collection or motorcycles and now it's simply time to let somebody else enjoy them. I have a shipping source that will get this bike to anywhere in the United States very reasonably, so don't hesitate to bid because you're afraid it'll cost too much to get it to you. I would estimate around $250-$350 anyplace in the US.

K-Tech release 25SSK for Big Piston Forks

Mon, 21 May 2012

K-Tech have released their popular 25SSK front fork open cartridge system to fit all Showa Big Piston Forks. Here's what K-Tech have to say about them: These lightweight aluminium units are supplied to the same exacting specification as all other 25SSK fitments with 14mm piston rods and a 25mm cartridge tube, the 14mm piston rods displace a large volume of oil through the 25mm control pistons giving enhanced damping characteristics over the standard Big Piston Fork and allow a bigger volume of air for a more precise feel at the bottom of the fork travel. The cartridge kits have compression and rebound adjustment in both legs and are supplied with 1.5mm Flow Control Valves for a more accurate adjustment, all necessary hardware is supplied to convert the Big Piston Forks to take the cartridges but it is necessary to order the springs you require as these are not included, customer price for the 25SSK cartridges is £725.00 + VAT and are available for the following models:- Honda CBR1000RR 2012 Kawasaki ZX6-R 2009-2012 Kawasaki ZX10-R 2011-2012 Suzuki GSXR600 2011-2012 Suzuki GSXR1000 2009-2012 Contact K-Tech on: +44(0)1283 559007.

FIM to Revise WSBK Homologation Requirements

Fri, 17 Jan 2014

The International Motorcycling Federation is considering modifying its homologation requirements for the World Superbike Championship following Bimota‘s somewhat surprising plans to re-enter the series. Under current regulations, manufacturers must produce a minimum number of motorcycles for it to be eligible to compete in the production-based WSBK championship. The official regulations currently require a minimum of 125 units produced for an initial homologation inspection, 500 units produced by June 30 of the current year, 1,000 units by the end of the current year and 2,000 units by the end of the following year.
