Honda Interceptor description

Gas sipper! Female owned. This bike only has 9850 original miles, aftermarket yoshimura exhaust (which sounds awesome! Nice deep tone, youd never guess this was just a 250) nearly new rear tire. Runs and drives fine and has no problem cruising highway speed with 2 averaged size people, top speed 1 up is about 95mph. Bike was stored inside most of its life up until 2 years ago. It has a custom red on black color scheme with vfr decals, paint is sun faded as shown in pics. There is a crack on the right fender above the red wing decal along with the road rash shown from a parking lot drop, right side rear turn signal arm is broke as well. Will need battery. Mechanically she purrs like a Honda should. The title is free and clear but I am having trouble finding it at the moment so go ahead and bid expecting to have to file for a lost title. I am moving and have no way to transport or time to mess with it. This site will get you a title for $150 (15y or older bike) motorecyclenow.com/title-service.html Bike is on Myrtle Beach/Conway SC line off 501. Paypal or cash on pickup accepted.

Mick Doohan NSR500 art sculpture

Wed, 04 Apr 2012

How do you best immortalise the great Mick Doohan and the big bang Honda NSR500 with which he dominated Grand Prix racing in the 90s? An Australian artist has answered this by creating an art installation that sees a hand-created replica of the bike exploded and suspended from the ceiling. The Doohan piece is appropriately titled 'The Big Bang' and as artist Eamon O'Tootle describes, "It is a complex sculpture comprising thousands of parts joining to make up a whole and symbolic tribute to the true inherent nature of art and sport – the creativity of design, where the mechanical is modified to suit the needs of man." Eamon added: "The way the Doohan piece came about was that one of the bikes Mick rode had an engine configuration called the Big Bang.

Honda Reports Q1 2014-2015 Sales Results

Tue, 29 Jul 2014

Honda reported sales of 4.137 million motorcycles over its first quarter ended June 30, 2014. That represents a 2.0% increase over the results of the same quarter the previous year, which doesn’t sound like much. But then you remember that 2.0% still represents an additional 83,000 motorcycles (including ATVs), such is the scale involved in a company like Honda.

WSBK 2013: Assen Race Report

Mon, 29 Apr 2013

Tom Sykes earned his first win of the 2013 season and came a hair short of a double victory at the World Superbike Championship round at Assen in the Netherlands. Traditionally a fast starter and qualifier, Sykes started on the pole once again at Assen and had strong starts in both races. But unlike the first two rounds where he started strong before fading, the Kawasaki factory rider was able to remain at the front in both races at Assen and earn some valuable championship points.
