Honda Gold Wing description

Please be sure BEFORE you bid as this is a NO RESERVE Auction. I have listed this at a very low price and it is a fantastic value for the price I am offering it at.  I ride the motorcycle rarely about once every 2 weeks for about 1-2 hours, as I have other vehicles. The motorcycle is in a fully rideable condition.

Over all this bike is in decent working condition.  It has typical wear for its age but paint and chrome are in fairly good condition.  It starts easily and runs well.  Tires will need changing after a while but they run well now and passed inspection.   This unit has lots of accessories such as:
2 tone paint with gold double striping. Striping is worn out in some areas,  saddle bag chrome rails, rider back rest with passenger handle, highway foot boards,  rider foot boards, passenger foot boards, large side lockable paniers(double locks) and rear storage box all with chromed rails, chrome luggage rack, air shocks (can be adjusted by simply filling air to a pressurized chamber), AM/FM/Stereo cassette player (player not working), lots of chrome, heel toe shifter, fog lights, analog instrumentation, Wind wings, large wind shield, rear panel lights, battery leads installed for easy charging.

On the whole the motorcycle runs well but will benefit from a full service. There is a transferable title. A pleasure to ride and has very comfortable seats and shocks. If you have any questions email me or call me at (718) 775-3233 and leave a message. I will call you back as soon as possible.

You have to arrange for pickup or your own shipping.

Dakar Begins This Sunday!

Thu, 02 Jan 2014

Dakar is an international, bad-ass, multi-day off-road event and if you’re not a fan you should be. Crossing the borders of Argentina, Bolivia and Chile the route takes motorcycle and ATV competitors through more than 5400 miles of extreme riding conditions. Competing cars and trucks go even farther.

You want a nice little car, you do.

We ran a couple of stories last week - both, coincidentally, about new Kawasakis. One was the first peek of the new ZX10R – hot stuff you’d imagine – the other, the new W800 retro parallel twin. I suppose it shouldn’t have shocked us, which story was most popular in terms of hits but it really does mark a seismic shifts in British biking attitudes that the W800 story doubled the hits of the ZX10 piece.

Team HRC CRF450 Rally Prototype Video

Fri, 03 Jan 2014

In a just released video HRC Team Director Katsumi Yamazaki describes Honda’s Dakar weapon, the CRF450 Rally. Warning: Yamazaki-san’s monotone delivery manages to snuff the excitement factor of what is an incredibly trick motorcycle, but it’s still interesting to watch. Honda returned to the Dakar Rally for the first time in 24 years in January 2013.
