Honda Gold Wing description

2012 HONDA GOLDWING $13,000.00 EXCELLENT CONDITION 47500 miles. After 250,000 miles on motorcycles (7 Wings), my back is shot!. I moved on to a SLINGSHOT. This means that my Lucky #7 must go. I bought Seven used, in May 2014, and began to lovingly mold her into what she is today. Seven has been my daily driver and I HATE to see her go!!!! As they say: My loss is your fortune!!! MANY EXTRAS INCLUDE: Audio/Comfort/Navigation Package, Modulated Headlights, Front Fork Stabilizer, Heel-Toe Shifter w/ Driver Floorboards, Passenger Armrests, Front Fender Side Lights (NOT Reflectors), Luggage Rack, Two-Tone BAGGERSHEILD Windshield, Valve Cover Side Lights, Small Item organizers in the saddlebags, Light smoke wind wings, Rearview Mirror Turn Signals, Fog Lights, Smoke Headlights, Modulated Brake lights, (Center tail light modulates with Brake lights). Regular maintenance performed: Oil and filter changes (Rotella 6), 4000 mile intervals, Due at 49000 miles. Brake pads, fluid and Spark Plugs replaced at 45000 miles. Air Filter replaced at 37000 miles. THE OBLIGATORY DISCLAIMERS: This is a 4 year old USED motorcycle with 47500 miles on her. DON’T expect her to be completely perfect!!! There are some minor scratches and dings in the paint. I never put her down, but there are some minor scrapes on the rear guard. (She WAS knocked over in a parking lot) and the highway peg on one side was broken. I took them off (I left the mounts) and never found another pair that liked. Someone stole the CB antenna. My guess is there is about 4000 miles left on the tires. The REAR tire is a car tire. (Google “Darkside, Motorcycle”) Speaking from my own experience (75,000 miles- 3 different Wings, #’s 5,6 and 7) on the Darkside, after about 500 miles on each new tire, I cannot tell the difference. The car tire cost half as much and I got 20,000 miles on the previous two. One factory key, one aftermarket key and one remote. It’s how I got the bike. I bought the Owner’s Manual (used). It came without the back cover. The passenger arm rests are peeling the chrome on the arms. The front fender sides have the “ABS” logo. This bike does NOT have ABS. NADA puts Seven’s average retail value at $15,985.00. before the many upgrades are factored in. Shipping is at your expense, however I will do all I can to help facilitate. I have had very good experiences in the past with uship.com. I have this bike listed locally as well. I reserve the right to end this listing at any time. I also have the Cruiser size “Bike Barn”. If you are interested, let me know and I will send pictures and we can talk price

Words fail me. Presumably, if your pockets are deep enough to buy all the engine parts from Kitaco (how about a DOHC four-valve head?), this sort of performance is within the reach of every C90 Honda owner. All those cabbies doing their 'knowledge' would make mincemeat of London traffic with this sort of acceleration.

Honda CB500F, CB500X and CBR500R Recall Affects 6,954 Units in US

Mon, 10 Mar 2014

As we expected following similar recalls in Australia and Japan, American Honda has announced a recall campaign on the 2013 CB500F, CB500X and CBR500R because of a risk of oil leaking from the engine. The recall affects 6,954 units in the U.S. including ABS and non-ABS models.

2014 Honda CTX700 and CTX700N Revealed, the First in a New Series Focused on Comfort, Technology and Experience

Fri, 08 Feb 2013

Honda pulled the covers off a new streetbike series aimed at younger, shorter riders. The Honda CTX700 represents the first in a new series from Honda combining the three tenets of Comfort, Technology and Experience. It’s a platform “specifically engineered to make motorcycling more approachable, affordable and fun than ever before.” Our own Troy Siahaan is at the CTX700 models’ launch in Chicago and will have a full first-hand report next week, but for now here’s a quick look at Honda’s new streetbikes.
