Honda Gold Wing description
1988 GL1500. This bike has not been started or driven, it has been stored for about 3 years. (best guess last ridden March 2013). Engine turns over but did not attempt to start, would want to go thru and service fuel and other systems before attempting. PAINT: Fair to good... has a few road "pings" from normal riding. ENGINE /TRANS.... Engine turns over and transmission goes thru all gears with no problems. ELECTRICAL: Very good... all lights, radio and CB work fine. LEATHER: Very good.... Seat has no cuts, rips or blemishes TIRES: Good.... Still has some miles left on tread, No signs of dry rot or cuts. This bike is being sold: AS-IS WHERE IT IS Please do not show up thinking that you can ride this home. It will need some service before it is road worthy. |

Results From Day 2 Of World Superbike Testing At Phillip Island
Tue, 18 Feb 2014World Superbike testing at Phillip Island came to a close today, and when the dust settled, reigning champion Tom Sykes stamped his authority, setting the fastest time of the test at 1:30.239, just five thousandths shy of the outright lap record held by Carlos Checa. The time was set during the morning session of testing, though nobody was able to best Sykes for the remainder of the day. Eugene Laverty, who was fastest on day one, showed his pace was no fluke as he stayed near the top of the time sheets, ultimately finishing second behind Sykes, with a best time of 1:30.513.
Own A Scale Model Of The Elf5, One Of The Most Unique Racing Motorcycles Ever
Tue, 01 Oct 2013If you’re a fan of scale model racing motorcycle kits, this 1/12 scale model of the Elf5 racer, as ridden by Ron Haslam in 1988, should make your mouth water. Designed by famous F1 designer André de Cortanze, the Elf5 was the culmination of a radical experiment by de Cortanze and Elf, the French petroleum giant. And even though it didn’t claim the racing success Cortanze and Elf had hoped, the experimental Elf motorcycles hold a distinctive place in motorcycle racing history, with some of its technology still in use today. Powered by a Honda NSR500 V4 engine that served as a stressed member and main mounting structure for the single-sided swingarms both front and rear, this recently released scale model is based closely on the actual Elf5 racing machines. This full detailed kit maintains the single-sided suspension, with the front suspension consisting of aluminum alloy and springs that will be partly movable.
A Spectacular Isle Of Man TT Lap With Michael Dunlop + Video
Fri, 21 Mar 2014The internet is full of videos from the Isle of Man, but if you ask me, this ranks up there as one of the best I’ve seen. Michael Dunlop, who took four wins in last year’s TT, has a hard-charging style that’s exciting to watch. He leaves nothing on the table, and as we see in this on-board video, he’s practically unbeatable when he’s at the top of his game.
